Description
Overview

Allows fires to run wild.

Details

Uses a harmony patch to remove the identification of large fires when deciding if rain needs to become more relevant as fires progress on the map.

The game has a mechanism in it that after a number of fires are detected on a map, then the "firewatcher" process will "ramp up" or progress more rapidly to an alternative weather and also then try to select rain styled weathers.

This mod then turns off that behaviour and allows fire to run freely, where weather selection will behave as normal; a more random/biome/seasonally skewed behaviour.

Mod notes

Can be added and removed from a save game safely.

Includes a mod option to toggle the functionality on and off. (Though there will be a delay if setting "off" after being "on" as the Fire watcher elements in the game "ramp up" based on the apparent danger (number of significant fires on the map) periodically).

Combine this mod with Boom Boom Is Prey will make this game inferno.

Thanks for this, I always thought it was weird that rain conveniently appeared whenever a fire broke out.

Personal choice and it keeps file sizes and mod content down. If anyone wants to look at the code then they can happily use a decompiler.

I don't tend to use Github for colaboration needs, as the overhead of inspecting contributions: I might as well do the work myself. Which is also more preferable as I'm the one supporting the mod.

Um, why aren't you storing the source code on Github, only the compiled assemblies?
Axiom 12 Mar, 2020 @ 2:58pm
Can you elaborate a bit more? Does this mean fires spread more rapidly?
