Immersive Campaign: Roman Cities Restoration

Description
*Update I: Due to popular request I've made it possible to "restore" the full glory of Rome, by upgrading the classical antiquity chains to their highest level, you will be able to restore the buildings to their marble splendour. Notably, the West gets the Amphitheatre, and the East gets the Hippodrome.

Who is the mod for?
Anyone who is playing the Grand Campaign and wants to feel more immersed in the campaign map playing as the WRE, ERE or as any faction interacting with the Romans.

What does this mod do?
Restores the cities of the Western Roman empire to a more "Latin" feel by using existing resources from both Attila and Rome II. It also restores the Eastern Roman Empire's Walls to a Latin/Greek version, as they were likewise suffering from barbarian wall syndrome.

Why was this mod created?
The city of Rome was an advanced metropolis, built in marble with massive walls. While at the end of her glory - the city was not overbuilt with literal straw huts and its Aurelian Walls reduced to brown clay. Because of this I always felt playing as the WRE felt off somehow, somehow never immersive, and that I never actually felt like I was playing "Rome" - their cities were mixed in with literal mud-huts (Check "Before" Screenshots) and their city walls were rammed earth clay (Which were the exact same wall textures as all the Germanic Barbarian Factions). I realized that this must have been an oversight from early development as Rome being a carbon copy of the european barbarian factions was actually reducing the faction variety, and made Attila feel less diverse than RII - I set forth to correct this to add some more immersion and flavour to the WRE faction.

Does this mod have any compatibility issues?
Nope - it only changes the textures of WRE's cities on the campaign map, literally compatible with every mod out there (I checked, no mod edits what I edit). I play this mod with FotE and the Thrones of Britannia UI Overhaul.

Mod Details:
1) The City Sprawl of the WRE is a partial copy of the ERE, and the walls are from RII's campaigns. The key buildings that are unique to the WRE have been left untouched (Such as their Theatre, Military Buildings, Civic Centres), as this does add some of the "crumbling civilization" flavour, while maintaining Rome's dignity.
2) The vanilla city sprawl of the WRE without this mod is a carbon copy of the Barbarian factions (it's where the mud-huts come from), and did not even have any pavement/concrete/streets under their buildings - this is where the feeling of "Too much brown" came from during all my playthroughs - because you were literally looking at mounds of earth in the middle of your cities most of the time.

You are now the last bastion of Civilization, and your cities reflect that reality.

Yes, mod still works and is compatible with any campaign mods that do not already edit or change the campaign map city models for the Roman Factions

Is this compatible with Age of Justinian and 919 AD AOC?

So it’s… actually central religion building? Like the Pagan counterpart of Patriarchal See? Shrine of Jupiter of something like that, I haven’t played vanilla Attila in a while.
So if I’m Christian, I’d still only get a Latin Church right? That is… fine, I suppose. Good luck with everything, all the gods bless ya XD

@CadianCastellan: it's been a while since this mod, but I believe the pantheon model is used for the holy see Christian building tree, meant to be built in the special building slots.

I decided against making all pagan temples the pantheon model because it would take up too much space across all cities and make them all look the same. Hope this helps.
Cheers.

I even poked inside the .pack file, but still can’t discern exactly which building it is. It looks quite marvelous.

Hi, love the mod, but question: what’s that lil’ marble-domed building in the Rome preview picture? To my knowledge that would be the Pantheon? But when I build that in game it shows as vanilla Greek-styled temple. Help pls, perhaps make a list of the buildings you have modified, so that we can get a better idea how everything looks like. THX
