[BETA] Act Shufflizer

Description
DOES >NOT< WORK CORRECTLY IN ONLINE PARTY!!!

WARNING: This mod will greatly affect progressing through the game, would highly recommend only using this on new saves for dedicated Shufflizer runs!!!

NOTE: This mod is in beta! You may experience bugs! (Please report them on the Workshop page if you do)


This mod will "Shufflize" the order of (almost) every act. By default, acts are only shuffled in their respective chapters, but you can enable shuffling into other chapters via the mod menu.

Completing the shufflized act will grant you the original act's TimePiece.

ShuffleChapters has some rudimentary checks to prevent shuffling acts into Mafia Town that would be impossible to complete, to avoid ruining runs. (e.g. Anything that absolutely requires the hookshot badge)

Several acts are not shuffled due to technical limitations, soft-locks, etc. I hope to reduce the size of that list where possible, but no promises.

Arctic Cruise shuffling is supported, but is disabled by default in the mod menu.
Does NOT support Nyakuza Metro currently. (You can play the acts as normal, they just aren't shuffled)
Does NOT support Online Party, it WILL break horrifically. Sorry!

  • Battle of Award 42 (Award Ceremony is still shuffled)
  • The Illness Has Spread
  • All of Nyakuza Metro (for now)
  • Time's End

Forbidden Act Pairs
  • Murder and Owl Express Blue Time Rift
  • Twilight Bell and Twilight Bell Blue Time Rift

YUPPP ITS POSSIBLE TO BEAT ALL TIME PIECES WITH NO PROTECTION (using glitches lol, in the levels Twilight Bell and Barrel Battle, i don't think its possible without glitches lol

This is an amazing mod, I have been waiting so long for some sort of hat in time randomizer. But I do have one suggestion, idk if I put the difficulty too high or if this is a genuine issue but I keep constantly getting softlocks where every accessible uncompleted level requires hookshot which I don't have by that point. So how about, as soon as you reach subcon well regardless of the act shuffled with it, hookshot automatically appears in your inventory.

oh hey look a fragment of a completed randomizer. THE ACT SHUFFLIZER IS CRUCUIAL TO ANY RANDOMIZATION OF AHIT!

@Alberona If it only affects Online Party related mods, then probably not, since the mod can't shuffle acts properly with Online Party enabled anyway (not without a bugfix from the devs, or a complete rewrite of the mod).

Currently if you collect the timepiece that She Came From Outer Space is shuffled to (or any other level just using an example) if you then get She Came From Outer Space timepiece it will be faded as if you have gotten it already, could you fix that? messes with some other mods that can be fun with this like online party super sync

Just use hookshot anywhere mod i would say and maybe get beta badges for timestop too.
