Description
★·.·´¯`·.·★ What it does ★·.·´¯`·.·★
Removes the debuff for living underground entirely.


★·.·´¯`·.·★ Details ★·.·´¯`·.·★
Pawns will not receive any kind of debuff for being stuck inside/underground.
Instead, they will get a 0 mood effect for being inside a while, then it will scale up until it hits 4.
If they go outside for even a few seconds, the buff will reset.
This is a total mirror to vanilla where over time, pawns get a higher and higher negative mood for being stuck underground. The only difference is I didn't make the positive values anywhere near as big as the negatives in vanilla were. This is meant to remove the underground debuff for those who want to play a mountain base where people actually like being in the mountain.

In Dwarf Fortress, if you were underground long enough, your dwarves got "Cave adaptation" which was great if you stayed underground and bad if they had to go to surface.
I can't do anything that complicated with code. I'm just not skilled enough. But I thought it might be useful to some people to have the option to at least not get punished for your dwarf-styled mountain fortress.

Save-game compatible, shouldn't conflict with anything at all.

Just tested it and it still works in 1.5, so it's all good until you get to it.

I always update my suite of mods when I get time.
TBF, unless the update breaks a very specific function (unlikely), it'll still work fine. It'll just throw a version error until I update it. No worries.

This has always been a vital mod for me due to my love of mountain carved bases, is there any chance of this being updated to 1.5?

No idea how to do that, sadly.

I once had a guy was gonna help me set it up so that it had a ticker that would track over time and slowly adapt someone to underground conditions and if you went outside, it had the opposite effect where you'd be unhappy about spending time outside instead.

Woulda been nice, but they disappeared. It's okay tho. This is a pretty simple mod.

Anyway, if I figure out how to do it, sure, but I don't know how as of right now.

'Adapted' children (biotech) no longer desire nature running or could watching, (both of which are impossible being underground).

this mod is handy even with ideology! sometime the undergrouder meme just doesnt fit but u want an underground base

thanks for this mod. its annoying when your in a cave mining or locked up in there house when they start to get a debuff right away. i use a hill or mountain for possible escape from base invasion. a the pawn just go into a break down .anyway thanks again

Updated to 1.4 Let me know if you have any errors. I didn't have time to thoroughly test, but no problems so far as I can tell. Should be good to go!
