[WOTC] Prototype Sectopod Restoration

Description
Mod Information:
So this mod restores the original Prototype Sectopod skin that was meant to be used in the game for the Advent Forge level, the in game unit prior used the same model as the normal Sectopods, the unit only ever shows up once so unless anyone was looking for the name specifically it is probable that many people wouldn't have notice that there even was a Prototype Sectopod.

Their stats are slightly weaker then the normal Sectopod, the stats themselves have not been edited with this mod.

What this does is correct another inconsistency that has also personally bugged me since I've learned about the original Forged skin. (Which I also used in the standalone Sectopod Prime mod)

Stat wise they are the same as the base game.

Compatibility:

Not compatible with any mods that would also try to overwrite the Prototype's model, not sure what mods that would be though.


"Issues":

Not an issue per say but as I said this unit as it is only ever shows up once in the entire game, a completely hi and bye unit. This extends to if you use a mod that edits encounter lists such as A Better Campaign or the Golden Paths mod, in that case you probably won't see this unit at all if you use those mods.

Edit: I might actually be wrong about the Golden Paths thing, I think it's simply that the Prototype Sectopod doesn't show up on higher difficulties.


If Bugs do arise at all then let me know and I'll try to address them if possible

I think you're right about certain mods cancelling out this one, but with so many mods in my collection, I can't seem to remember the specific name of the one I'm after...

Sectopods don't come in tiers traditionally, I once thought about somehow incorporating this version of the Sectopod as a weaker unit (because prototype) for early game but I didn't really know how to balance it out, that and my burnout on Xcom modding hasn't made it possible to work on such.

If any other modder wanted to do something like that though that would be fine, not that this is my skin or anything anyways so anyone could do something with it.

Hey, I really like this skin and that you make it more popular!

Nevertheless I do have questions:
Do sectopods come in three tiers like most of the other enemies?
If so might it be possible you released a mod that uses this skin for sectopods on tier three?
If not would you be able to tie this skin to force level? (If I am not mistaken sectopods start spawning at force level 16. Maybe you could make it so that at force level 18+ they use this skin instead...?)

I think it doesn't show up on Legend difficulty but I might be wrong.

I think it does get phased out for the regular Sectopod if you go on the mission after the force level where Sectopods start getting fielded making the Prototype a guaranteed Sectopod encounter.

Wait, so this unit is actually used in the ADVENT Forge mission ? Oh wow, I always tought it was some random placeholder. It makes sense now why it's stats are weaker than a normal sectopod.

I would love to make it more common somehow but I'm not sure how to do it besides doing something similar to my Archon Diversity mod but that would make the skin more "common" then I would prefer personally.
