Cockpits With More LCDs

Description
Because more is always better, right?

I decided to make this as a sort of 'spiritual successor' to the Enhanced Cockpit Concept Revival mod since Keen have now given us the ability to actually make use of the built-in LCDs on cockpits but since I like to have lots of information on my cockpit screens... I needed more!

What's it got?
Control Station for both large and small grids with 6 screen spaces instead of the vanilla 1.
Flight Seat for both large and small grids with 4 screen spaces instead of the vanilla 1.
Small grid standard Cockpit with variations of added LCDs to the top middle, top sides, and both.

There are 4 variants of both the control Stations and Flight Seats for both grid sizes, and a total of 8 variants of the small grid standard Cockpit. The variants have slightly different configurations of single screens and split screens like ECCR had for some of it's LCDs.

Whilst this doesn't have the full range of customisation of ECCR, I've tried to include a good range to allow people some amount of personal preference in their builds. It is also a lot more large grid friendly.

Update 18th May 2019
  • Added new Control Station version with 9 screens (1 large with small screens up the sides and along the bottom, as suggested by Kraken767)
  • -New control station version has the same variants as the original and is available for large and small grid
  • Fixed minor misalignment of screen overlays on control station models
  • Changed the icons for flight seats and control stations to try and make them more informative
  • -Black screens are standalone screens, coloured screens are split with their matching colours
  • Changed screen names on control stations to make them more descriptive
  • Updated screenshots to also try and make them more informative about the variants

Update 23rd May 2019
  • Added new Flight Seat version with 5 screens (as suggested by Kraken767, to allow a central display for horizon script)
    • New Flight Seat version has the same variants as the original and is available for large and small grid
    • I've had to reduce the screen size from 30cm x 30cm down to 27cm x 27cm to fit five of them in so they are a little smaller
  • Added Fighter Cockpits with extra LCDs (thanks to Rivery for reminding me these exist)
    • These come in the same variants as the standard small grid cockpit with Top Sides, Top Middle, and Both. They also have the same split screen options.
  • Changed icons for the standard small grid cockpit to try and make them more useful and to match new Fighter cockpit icons
  • Changed screen names in standard small grid cockpit to match new Fighter Cockpit naming conventions
    • This change also switches the vanilla screens back to using their translation strings
    • This shouldn't affect any screens already in use as scripts reference by index and not by name
  • Changed default names of the standard small grid cockpit to match new Fighter Cockpit naming conventions and to make them more concise
    • This change will not affect already placed blocks, it's just a display name change, no need to rebuild anything

Everytime I load the game, the cockpits disappears. It's still there (can go in and out), but it's invisible. I have to grind and rebuild in order to show the cockpit again.

This is great! Any plans to add extra screens to the industrial or rover cockpits?

All cockpits have had the Target Locking tag added to them for the Warfare 2 update.

@Syna sorry I've been away since the Warfare 2 update released. I am home now though so I will try to get them updated in the next couple of days.

The targeting system from the Warfare update does not work with these cockpits

Is this still working?

@kham im not sure if its possible, but is there any way tou could make a cocpit where the windows are actually transparent LCDs? It'd be nice for custom crosshairs for the ship and such.

I just want you to know that I consider this mod essential to my enjoyment of Space Engineers. These cockpits and flight seats are the best I've ever used!

At the very top of the script in the PB when loaded from the workshop reads
"Updates by JTurp

Updated script to support any block with a text surface (PB, Cockpit, Console Block, etc)

In order to use these blocks with the script, add the "lcdNamePrefix" to the block name, then either wait for the script to refresh (every 8-ish seconds) or recompile the script, then check the Custom Data of the block and configure as desired :)

Example block name: "Console Block [Shield LCD]""

I have it running on these cockpits on all of my ships. Though there's also a more up to date version JTurp linked in the comments of the script page, since he can't update the workshop version, which fixes a couple of issues with it and makes it work with other scripts being used on the same cockpit without overriding.

For reference, I too play with HUD off when flying. I have no obligation to make anything just because it's something *you* want. Being rude doesn't make it any more appealing to me.
