Oh, hi Marc!
It's been a while since I last modded DOS2, but from my gut, I'd guess the offset data would relate to your starting point value. Perhaps if you start a new game with the value changed you might see the effects.
Regarding the balance between 2 and 3 levels per point, if I recall correctly the data I changed accept decimals, not only integers. You might play around with that and see if you can find a value that fit your needs

Otherwise great mod, still works till this day and can easily be edited for 2 levels per point or more than 3 levels per point.

I extracted the data.txt from stats\Generated\Data\ and I was wondering what the key: "TalentPointOffset" does. Havent seen any changes ingame with setting it to 10 and -10.

I know after 5 years since this mod has been worked on the chance of anyone knowing what it does is low. I just wanted to hope if someone knows. I kinda want to find a balance between 2 and 3 levels per point and hoped this value would help with that.

每 3 级提供一个天赋点(原来的每 5 级获得一个)。

Ok thanks

The changes basically tells the game how many levels you have to get to gain one talent point. So you will start getting more points when you activate it, but it won't add points for previous levels

Do you need to start a new game for this mod to work? Added it to an existing game but I didn't have any extra talent points, would I need to hit a talent level up for it to work out retroactively how many talent points I'd need?

Still don't know if I should start a new game

Do you have to start a new game altogether for this mod to activate or can it work in an already ongoing playthrough? - Cheers.
