STAR WARS MaelStrom BattleCruiser S.D.

Description
Hello, and Welcome back to my Workshop. Today I give you my latest build creation. I present to you the Star Wars dreadnought, the MaelStrom BattleCruiser Star Destroyer. (constructive criticism is always welcome, dont care if its telling me good job or you could do better here. Please feel free to leave a message.)

NOTE. To keep it realistic there are no shield mods on here, add to your liking, this is a dreadnought after all and was made to withstand multiple capital ship engagements at once according to the lore, and this is not survival ready, it can be with a few add ins if you like up to you. And last but not least, most of the weapons are not hooked up to conveyors, for pcu performance.

As depicted, and 3D designed by EckhartsLadder, I have Recreated, and filled in the blanks as to what the MaelStrom Republic Battle-cruiser would look like.

@3.30 in the video is the main rendering from which I Have based this entire build from.

The MaelStrom was a rare republic battlecruiser of StarWars Legends, it only appears in StarWars Age of Rebellion, Lead By Example, an rpg supplement. And we do not know its size or appearance, however based on descriptions from the book, mainly the fact that it is shaped like that of a cranked delta wing, and it has a Venator style twin command structures. Comparing that with the cost of the Venator Star Destroyer as a reference, when coming up with sizes, it was described as not to be as long as the Paetor BattleCruiser, so we have come to the conclusion that it is 2500 meters long.

Introduce late in the Clone Wars, with close relations with the Venator and the Acclamator style Star Destroyers, however much more powerful. Representing the largest and arguably the most impressive vessel of the Republic Navy at the time of its Creation. The MaelStrom was purpose built for the Navy and entered service before the Mandator Mk.1. Heavily Armored and armed to the teeth, created to inspire awe, and Dread in the eyes of the enemies. It was optimized for Fleet command, with secondary fleet carrying, and planetary siege capabilities. The MaelStrom could bring with and deploy over 120 star fighters, and enough assets to wage a full scale ground assault.

Armaments. 20 Heavy Turbolaser batteries
30 ion Cannons/ Batteries
Missile/Heavy Torpedo Launchers
Multi anti fighter Armaments
The text also states that the MaleStrom has Heavy Sheildings.

However few MaleStroms saw service, although interestingly the Alliance found and made use of one called the Seamoon

All Credit for the Design goes to EckhartsLadder, go check out his page for all things starwars, halo, startrek and more. i give credit where is credit is due and I thank him whole heartedly for the inspiration for my design in Space Engineers. I would like to think I have done his design justice with a few tweeks hear and there. Like he describes in his 2 videos of this Star Destroyer there is a lot of unanswered questions about design and function of this ship. Therefore I have come up with what i believe to be 1 interpretation of the Star Destroyer. This is a 50/50 copy and pasta build from my Liberation Venator Star Destroyer for the main engines and towers. other than that everything else is a ground up build.

Again i would like to thank the creators of S.E. along with the numerous builders and Youtube channels that gave me the designs, dirive and passion to make a ground up recreations. Todays source of inspiration comes fomr EckhartsLadder, but along with that I still want to thank Sauron2012, Keen, Captains, Jack and Shack, Tex, Wastedspace, Blinky, LSG, Morphollolologist, and others thank you for all you have done, keep it up.

Hey, can this ship be modified to be up to date?

@CaptainRex thanks for the heads up, and thank you for the comment, Ive tried over my many builds to keep both the block count and pcu count down, i.e. with mods so that it could possibly work better with some computers, i built this all with my gen5 i7 laptop, and it was kinda on the border with my capabilities as well, but with how other star wars ships are in S.E. I based it all off that scale to give it this impressive figure. but this is also a ship ment to be flown around, so it can be converted to a station and it should be more stable. But then there is not point in having a stationary Star Destroyer lol, but again the more I build the more i improve with the amount of block being placed as well as mods and other fixtures. And to be honest I like building the massive scales, but maybe ill try my hands at a small block scale version of this in the near future.
