Drops Reset Countdown

Descriere
This is a simple mod that adds a collapsible Countdown Timer modal box to the Main Screen (and optionally to the Gameplay HUD). The timer will countdown to when Daily & Weekly Skin Drops reset. All times are automatically adjusted to your local timezone.

The mod has language support for English, Russian (Русский), Simplified Chinese (简体中文), Traditional Chinese (繁體中文), Brazilian Portuguese (Português do Brasil), and Korean (한국어).

Latest Features:
  • Weekly Skin Drops History (Note: Uses data from the Weekly Drops Counter)
  • Language support for Brazilian Portuguese and Korean
  • Skin Information Panel (Hover over a skin in the Curio Cabinet Skins List to view)
  • Optional Auto-open Gift Box feature (disabled by default)
  • Skin Statistics (Hover over the Total Skins or Total Spools count to view)
  • Scalable Modal (Up to 150% of its default size)
  • Support for Vertical, Ultra-Wide (21:9), and Super Ultra-Wide (32:9) Displays
  • Total Spools & Total Skins indicator in the All Skins List modal and exported JSON file
  • Weekly Drops Counter (Note: Only counts drops that happen while the mod is enabled)

Daily Drop:
  • Green Text = Drop Available (Need to Re-login or Restart Game to Obtain Drop)
  • Yellow Text = Already Received Drop for the Day
  • Red Text = Drop Not Yet Available

Weekly Drops:
  • The active week of drops (i.e. the start and end date) will always be shown in Green Text

Weekly Drops Counter:
  • The counter only keeps track of drops you obtain while the mod is enabled.
  • The count updates when you get a weekly drop (i.e. when a gift icon appears in the top left)
  • Data is stored locally on each computer (file path: "<DST Directory>/data/dropsdata_<KUID>.json") and is not synced online.
  • Note: If you change computers, delete the save file, or get a drop while the mod isn't enabled, the count that is displayed will be inaccurate

Weekly Skin Drops History:
  • The history only displays weekly skins that dropped while the mod was enabled
  • Skins are sorted by weekly cycle and listed in the following order:
    1. Skins still in your Curio Cabinet (sorted by opening time) [normal appearance]
    2. The skin in an unopened gift box [faded appearance with red corner]
    3. Skins no longer in your Curio Cabinet (sorted by rarity) [faded appearance]
  • Listed skins will correspond to the Weekly Drops Counter for that weekly cycle (uses the same save file as above)
  • Note: If you change computers, delete the save file, or get a drop while the mod isn't enabled, then the history will be incomplete

Curio Cabinet Skins List (Optional):
  • Up to 12 recently obtained skins can be shown in the modal (see configuration options)
  • A timestamp of when each skin was acquired is shown in each row
  • A full list of all skins in your Curio Cabinet can be viewed by clicking the "Show All" button
  • Details of a skin (name, rarity, image, and description) are shown by hovering the mouse over the name of a skin in the full list
  • Skin Statistics (a breakdown of the number of skins owned per rarity) can be viewed by hovering the mouse over the Total Skins or Total Spools count
  • Skins that have been sold, spooled, traded, or trade inn-ed will disappear from both lists
  • Skin data can be exported to a file via the Export button. The JSON file will be generated to the "steamapps/workshop/content/322330/1688661034/export/" folder under the Steam Directory

Auto-Open Gift Boxes (Optional; Disabled by Default)
  • Gift boxes that drop during gameplay will be automatically opened
  • Enabling this feature disables the overlay with the gift box opening animation
  • A clickable text notification is shown in the chat history when a gift box is auto-opened

Configurable Options:
  • Display your Current System Time: [Show / Hide]
  • Display the exact time of when Daily and Weekly Drops reset: [Show / Hide]
  • Clock Format: [12 Hour / 24 Hour]

Daily skins (1 per day) are given for logging in each day and weekly skins (8 per week) are given for playing the game. A total of 15 skins can be obtained every week. However, Family Sharing accounts are not eligible for Daily drops.

Please note that this mod does not enable you to get more than your allotted 1 daily drop per day or 8 weekly drops per week. Drop times are merely adjusted to your local timezone for convenience.

More information regarding skin drops can be found in this Klei announcement: https://steamproxy.net/games/322330/announcements/detail/1788398041980026901

Yeah, I wasn't sure how much access a mod would have to system functions like that. That's a good idea tho, and thank you for the pointers! That'll help a lot if I end up making one. I appreciate it

@Lightningtow
The mod environment is sandboxed, so it wouldn't be possible to make the taskbar icon flash nor have the game send a system notification.

If you don't want to have drops auto-opened or periodically check the window for a drop, you could make a simple mod to play a more audible, repeating sound when a drop is available. But, that won't be something that's added to this mod.

A simple way to do this would be to loop the sound when the "giftreceiverupdate" event is pushed, then modify the "RevealItem" function in giftitempopup.lua to stop the sound when the drop is opened. Hope that helps.

Would it be possible to add an option for "notify me when I get a drop," which would make the taskbar icon flash, or send a system notification or something? That way I can claim it manually. I'm not opposed to idling for skins, but fully automating the process feels a little bit iffy to me personally. (no judgment to people who wanna do that, you do you. Ain't trying to start shit). But I don't like constantly checking the window for a gift, and I always miss the notification sound.

Alternatively, if this is open source, I could likely add the functionality myself. Is there a Github repo for this? I've never made a DST mod but I've worked on mods for other games, not clear on the differences but I figure it's worth a shot.

@fish'n milk
Skins that are automatically granted by the game (such as Complimentary rarity and Event rarity items) have a drop timestamp of 0. The game uses unix epoch for times, so a timestamp of 0 equals "January 1, 1970 00:00:00 UTC" (or your time zone equivalent).

See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epoch_(computing)

@Mica
If you're fluent in both Spanish & English and wish to contribute a Spanish translation, please reply here first, then add me on Steam. We can discuss there. Thanks!
