Description
This mod adds a Japanese faction to the game. They are competitively viable and carefully balanced.

To use this, subscribe, create a custom game, and set this mod as the active tuning pack. The Wehrmacht (Eastern Front Germans) will be replaced by the Japanese. German commanders are also replaced with Japanese ones. The list of commanders can be found in the image section or the Faction Guide.

It is not possible to add new models or sounds to the game. Some imagination required.

@Sinisterisrandom I have trouble contacting the main author of this mod so things are probably not going to happen on his side. I also don't have the latest source code of the mod which means if I continue the mod, the most recent changes would be lost

I know this is a relatively old mod. However is there any future plans to update the mod to introduce other vehicles such as the Type-5 Ho-Ri, I-Go, and other vehicles?

Join us on Coh3 discord to help make a Japanese faction expansion happen, it's getting better with ever new update surprisingly. Japan is wanted bad by a lot of people and Relic has said all fronts are on the table for expansions. Plus Relic has planned to support Coh3 as long they did Coh2.

Jackson- that's a pretty impressive project!
Harridan- thank you for the constructive feedback! OKW has the same number of units in the HQ, but it feels more restrictive for Japan. The faction wasn't designed like this originally, and I could certainly see the early techs getting reorganized again. It was mentioned on discord that 7.7mm feels too must-pick at the moment as well. Late game AT has been a struggle to balance, because buffing only one unit might make it too important. Gyokusai and the Coordinated Strike Zone are tricky to use. I've been looking at adding a late-game global upgrade, but haven't settled on the design. I also want Japanese infantry squads to keep more power as they lose soldiers.

I like this mod, really I do, but could you maybe not make it so that the MG and AT team aren't recruited from the same building as your base infantrymen? I mean you have Two buildings which basically recruits only One unit each. Like why have only one building where I can only build Snipers and another that can only build Mortars. Infantry Spam early game is hard to deal with because I can't get more infantry out fast enough. Other than that, fun mod, 'cept for the late game tank battles, the struggle to just kill a T-34 is sad.
