Description

Please note, subscribe to Rocky's Counter Strike weapon unlocker because it contains custom scripts to unlock CS:S weapons and if you found the left hand issue or if it randomly crash, be sure to restart the game after downloading just to make the addon work.

" The M40A3, a American made bolt-action sniper rifle and is manufactured by Remington Arms. It is only used by United States Marine Corps while the U.S Army use M24 sniper rifle, also made by Remington Arms. The M40A3 carries 5 rounds and uses 7.62×51mm NATO. The origins behind the M40A3 is that it's based off on the two older variants, the M40 and A1. The M40 was originally designed and produced in 1966 (around the Vietnam War era). After few years later in 1996, the M40A3 was developed and produced in 1996. The reason of skipping of the M40A2 and M40A4 was because to prevent any confusion from still-in-inventory M40 Recoilless Rifle variants with those designations. The M40A3 was deployed in Gulf War and Iraq War until in 2009, the M40A3 is retired and was replaced by a newer variant, the M40A5 with a lot of enhancement upgrades and improvements."

Here's Prodigy's Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare M40A3 mod with my custom (somewhat) texture and new bumpmaps. This custom texture is a mixture of the unused desert camo variant and the original with tan color of course. For those who don't know there was a desert camo of the M40A3 for CoD4 and it's possible that the desert camo was used for a U.S.M.C sniper mission but it was scrapped (possibly because they wouldn't have two sniper missions with the same objective). The desert variant is a lot more detailed for a unused texture though it's a shame we weren't able to get that texture in CoD4 (aside from modding of course). Originally I was gonna upload the M40A3 with the unused desert texture but I didn't like the desert camo so instead I leave the original M40A3 body frame as the same with the tan color. I managed to update some bump maps as well and fix few of the map texture that was misplaced. Lastly to let you know is that I also brought back the original bolt-action sound from CoD4 just for some nostalgia. This addon is also included with Alex_D_Vasilkov's hud icon since it was part of the original addon. I managed to nerf the damage from 1900 (Hella op) to 115 which is the original damage of AWP. The ammo count is reduced down from 20 to 5 rounds just to make it realistic.

Replaces the AWP, also includes custom hud and script in order to work
