Pennsylvania Station (OUTDATED) Link to new asset

Description
!!! IMPORTANT UPDATE !!!
This asset is broken and I recieved many bug complains. Good news is that GayusJuliusCaesarRainbowus created an updated version using ETST, that works fine. You can download it here: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2497586215

Pennsylvania Station was a historic railroad station in New York City, named for the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR), its builder and original tenant. The station occupied an 8-acre (3.2 ha) plot bounded by Seventh and Eighth Avenues and 31st and 33rd Streets in Midtown Manhattan. It was designed by McKim, Mead, and White and completed in 1910. Its head house and train shed were considered a masterpiece of the Beaux-Arts style and one of the great architectural works of New York City.
Passenger traffic began to decline after World War II, and in the 1950s, the Pennsylvania Railroad sold the air rights to the property and shrank the railroad station. Starting in 1963, the above-ground head house and train shed were demolished, a loss that galvanized the modern historic preservation movement.

Gameplay stats:

18x30 footprint, cost 120000$ to build, located in Transport -> Train menu, Subway station and railway tracks connections located underground!

Technical info:

Main model: 32850 tris, 1024x4096 texture
LOD model: 772tris, 512x512 texture

P.S. I really liked to work on this one. It was frustrating working with sub-buildings and station mechanics, but nonetheless I get it functioning properly. And as for the modeling/texturing side - I put my absolute best here.

Enjoy!!!

And by the way I got myself a twitter page, I'll be posting some previews on models/assets I'm working on, also some random stuff and so on. You can subscribe to not miss an update.

from a New Yorker thanks for keeping this bit of history alive. In it place they built the currently Madison Square guarden but still kept the name of the train station.

@ChiliadSun:

I am working on updating this wonderful station for you, making use of the EST mod for underground station tracks and adjusting the integrated metro station to work better with Sunset Harbor's Metro lines. I want to submit it to you to either update this file or you re-upload it. PM me when you can!

This asset is sooo close to being awesome. However, the huge drop on the train lines is a problem, as is the fact that the metro lines are broken when this thing is installed.
If these two things are fixed (one poster below fixed the train, for example), this this is an auto-include in any city.
Right now, stay away unless you're willing to edit by hand.

Every time I try to put the metro line through it says "space already occupied", how can I fix this ?

Hey ChiliadSun! I was having an issue where the underground tracks had a very steep slope to the station tracks that was causing my trains to get stuck... I managed to fix it opening up the station in the asset editor. I moved the nodes of the sloping tracks further out and added additional underground tracks to give it more length, and now my trains are working just fine! Is that something you'd be interested in looking into?

Anyone figure out how to fix the slope too steep problem?

There seems to be a metro station bug. It allows metro line to pass through (without a stop) but if I choose to have a stop at this station it won't allow me to complete the metro line. When the line comes back through the station to close the line, it's not possible to connect to the next station.

Any chance you could make a non-station version of this building? It's one of the best buildings on the workshop, but it causes some issues as a station. I'd love to use it as a museum or gov building instead.

The model is absolutely STUNNING. its a shame they ever demolished this gorgeous building.
