Guitar Hatter

Description
Have you ever played "Guitar Hero" or a similar rythm game?

Well, this mod is just that, re-created inside a Hat in Time. :)

It's gamestyle may not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you feel like it, give it a go!

There's only a single song you can play (it took way too much time to make it already :P) and only one difficulty setting, but I tried to make it fairly accessible to most people (it should be nowhere near Deathwish difficulty).

You can get the details in-game.

Quick warning #1: you can only play the actual minigame using a keyboard (mouse not required), so keep one ready.

Quick warning #2: due to some circumstances, during the minigame you will be wearing the Hat/Custome that you started the level in, so if you want to see Hat Kid's smug face while dancing, make sure you do not wear a mask or other hat that covers her face when clicking Play.

Quick warning #3: you definietly shouldn't play this in co-op...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This short mod is my second map created, and it was inspired mostly by the AWSOME music of a Hat in Time.
Pascal Michael Stiefel, and everyone else who contributed to the soundtrack, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
I also got permission to include references to Conductor Ware: Smooth Moves, created by Elsie (LCL) to give a bit more depth to the not-so-important story.
If you can, check out that P*ck of a mod, too. :D
Oh, that's certainly because of recent updates, yeah. Maps had to be readjusted or something. It's really unfair that you can't fix it for now due to that problem, hoping it'll solve soon though!
This map was created quite a long time ago, and some things may have changed with the game since then.
I would gladly look into any issues and make some fixes here and then, but sadly, I am unable to use the Editor Tools for some months now. It crashes every time I try to load or playtest a level, and I have absolutely no idea why.
Is there any reason why I immediately fail when pressing F for red circle? It's 5th beat in track, I certainly do not miss timing on one but for some reason orange one pops instead and game ends.
(also actors take so big nap that game crashes upon restart or returning to hub)
Not to sound offensive, I just am sad that I couldn't play this map properly
Well, I actually wanted to use different buttons, but for some reason using some Letters of the keyboard (via Kismet like I did) makes the game think that you pressed different buttons than you actually did.
Even how everything is right now, if you press Space during the minigame, for example, the game would make it like you pressed both F and L, or something like that. I have no idea why.
And I know that rhytm games aren't some people's cup of tea, but the amount of fun I had having to test my map over and over again was well worth it.
If you listen to the song a few times, until you can memorise it, it can make not just this minigame, but the actual game's actual fight so much enjoyable, too.
I have to admit, its a great idea that's executed pretty well for the most part, I would suggest making the keys "D,F,G,H,J" the ones used for notes since that would "IMO" be a bit less awkward to get used to. Sadly, I kind of suck at Guitar Hero so needless to say, I failed spectacularly, Rhythm Game expert I am not, someone who is familiar with the style will likely have much better luck then I did.
Well, while testing the level, I made a loud "whoops" sound to play whenever you mis-hit a key, to give me a clear indication, but it could get really annoying if you missed a lot.
The idea was to let the music play out with as less distortion as possible if you did everything right, but if more people think there should be a stronger feedback system, I could implement one.
I'm even open to suggestion about what visuals/sound effect you would like to see best.
Cool idea, doesn't play too well though.
There's a big lack of feedback when hitting notes, I don't even know if I hit them. There needs to be an effect that plays or a sound that clearly indicates wether you got it or not. This would also make it more satisfying to hit notes.
