Fallout Weapon Model Pack

Description
A pack of weapon models from Fallout: New Vegas. Not all weapons in the game are in this pack, but most of them probably are. I dunno, I didn't bother checking I just ported in as many models as I felt like. There are some weapons that aren't in the game either. Raiders have been in the region lately and have stolen ammunition from some of the energy weapons, however the energy weapons were subsequently enchanted by a wizard and can now function without ammunition. That means you can totally ignore that some of the energy weapons don't have ammunition, trust me man I'm not lazy.

All weapons are labelled and are sized in such a way that they can be placed into the hands of posed models in my Character Model Pack using the gizmo. Might need to do a little more resizing and fiddling, and the weapons probably won't fit perfectly in the hands of all the characters. But such is life in the wasteland.

There are two Veteran NCR Rangers, two Super Mutants, and two guys in T-51b Power Armor from my Character Model Pack standing around in the save file if you want to pose the weapons on them.

How to attach weapons to character models:
1) Make a copy of the character model and the weapon model, then pick a pose by mousing over the character model and pressing 1-5.

2) Lock the model while it's in its appropriate pose as well as the weapon you want to attach to the model. If you do not lock both of the models then their collision boxes will simply push each other around, making it impossible to attach the weapon to the character's hands.

3) Right click on the character model and press "Reset" so you don't accidentally change its pose by pressing a number on your keyboard. This is why you make a copy of the model instead of using the original, because you will erase all of the model's alternate poses by doing this.

4) Use the Gizmo tool (shortcut F8) to move and rotate the weapon into position.

5) Use the Joint tool (shortcut F6) and link the weapon to the character model. Simply click on the weapon and drag it onto the character. If you cannot select the weapon because the character model's hitbox is in the way, holt ALT and drag a selection box over both, then unselect the character model so that only the weapon is selected. While the weapon is selected, switch to the joint tool and click on the character model to link them.

6) Unlock both models and enjoy your posed model with a weapon in hand. Avoiding picking up the model by its weapon, as that will cause the model to be picked up sideways. In addition, depending on how you pose it the weapon might mess up the balance of the model and cause it to fall over. To fix this, right click on the weapon and click on physics, then change its mass to 0.

7) Optionally, you will probably want to save your model as a Saved Object so you don't have to repeat this process in the future for that specific model and weapon combination. Select both models by dragging a selection box over them and right click on the selection, then click on save object. I would recommend organizing them into folders, which is what I do.

If you want to use this in your mod you have my permission to do so as long as you credit me for porting the models

How did you get the poses? I noticed that there is no melee weapon pose and if possible I will make one myself.

Alright, thanks.
Yeah, the link I posted to that mesh just 404s in my browser too rather than downloading an obj file

The texture seems to link to the .22 SMG's texture, but the model works fine for me. Have you tried letting TTS update your workshop mods? If not, use this mesh:

This is awesome! I sent you a friend request because I'm interested in trying to do this with sections of the vault models to make a modualr dungeon set. Could you accept and help me out? I'd really appreciate it!
