Whale MK-2 is a multipurpose ship manufactured by "Space Defense Systems". It is a deep revision of the Whale MK-1. The main difference from MK-1 is the hangar for various modules. Depending on the task it can be a small short-range fighter, a drone for reconnaissance, an additional cargo bay, a hydrogen tank, or even modules of a planetary outpost can be installed on the ship. This modularity allowed to extend the usage of Whale-mk2, however, because of this, we had to abandon the third hydrogen reservoir.
Interior has changed little from version MK-1 - the same two cabins for the crew and one large captain's cabin. Cockpit has a large field of view, and armament from 9 turrets allows you to shoot from any minor enemy.

Not long ago, a group of researchers discovered the Cubeo star system, in which the earth-like planet Cubeo 3 was found, later it was renamed to Erius. A group of scientists began to prepare an expedition to a new planet, but it turned out that there was no space for the necessary scientific equipment in their ships. Space Defense Systems provided its newest ships for the expedition for free. As a result of the mission, scientists have created an outpost, and Whale mk-2 began to be in great demand as a ship that "Сonquerer of Erius".
