S.S. Nomadic (1911)

THIS VESSEL DOES NOT FLOAT PROPERLY. IT IS PROPBUILT AND WILL REQUIRE YOU TO MULTI-PARENT ALL PROPS TO THE HULL AND USE HOVERBALLS TO KEEP HER STABILIZED. MAKE SURE TO REMOVE ALL WELD-BASED CONSTRAINTS OFF OF HER AFTER YOU'VE PARENTED THEM IN ORDER TO KEEP THE SHIP FROM SPAZZING OUT.

This is the S.S. Nomadic, a tender ship built for the White Star Line in 1911. She was based out at Cherbourg, France along with her sister ship, the S.S. Traffic, and they carried passengers and mail to the big ocean liners waiting for them outside of the shallow harbor.

Nomadic served many of the White Star Line's fabled ships, including the R.M.S. Olympic and Titanic, the Majestic and the Homeric.During World War I and II, the Nomadic served under the British Admiralty as a troop ship, coastal patrol vessel and minelayer.

Following the merger of the White Star and Cunard Lines in 1934, Nomadic was sold to the Cherbourg Tow & Rescue Society and was renamed Ingenieur Minard. After briefly returning to tender duties following WWII, Nomadic was retired in 1968 and stayed idle for over five years until she was purchased by Yvon Vincent.

Nomadic was then converted into a floating restaurant, and was based at the Seine in Paris. In 2002, Vincent's business went belly-up and Nomadic was seized by harbor authories and moved out of Paris to Le Hare, her future remaining uncertain. A group of Titanic historical societys banded together to save the Nomadic and in 2006, brought her to Belfast where she was restored into her original White Star shape.

Nomadic is the last White Star steamship to remain above water, and is now on display at the Titanic Quarters in Belfast, Ireland.

You must download a list of addons to make sure everything works, and the right tools with them to fix it to work the way you want. A list of these addons will be added on soon. You might possibly require some props from Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead 1 or 2 to make sure everything shows up correctly.
