Hecate Class Corvette (Stealth Recon Strike)

The Hecate Class of corvettes are designed to be fast. Very fast. While they do have a limited range due to only having hydrogen engines, they are usable both on planets and in space. With a high acceleration and low mass, they are adept at reconnaissance mission and covert operations. The Strike varient of the Hecate is equipped with three rocket launchers to give it some punch - but be very aware, the ships structure is light armour and quite hollow! All Hecate varients are designed to be equipped with a Sekar class drone on the dorsal connector. The Sekar drones are capable of atmospheric and space flight, however, due to only being equipped with short range antennae, the drone can only be controlled within 5km range.

The Hecate Class is slightly larger than the standard corvette size profile and thus cannot fit within a standard hangar. Actual dimentions: 11 large grid blocks wide, 17 large grid blocks long and 3 large grid blocks tall.

The Strike varient of the Hecate is equipped with a Seker Class Drone (Recon Combat).


Build notes:

- Both the Hecate and Seker are equipped with small grid antennae.
- The Seker was designed to be a smaller version of the Hecate - I'm quite pleased with fhe result.
- I originally tried to build the Hecate with atmospheric and hydrogen engines... but things didn't pan out so well and atmospheric engines meant the craft had far more mass than I wanted.
