The lights are flickering (in the game quite literally), something big must be on its way.

Good news, guys! The end is near!

It comes in form of the Revelation-Class Assault Carrier. Landed on a planet,
this beast stands 160m tall and is designed to bring horrible death and
utter devastation to a city or settlement near you.
There is no running away from the Apocalypse.

This is the first ship of the class and thus named "Revelation".

With the continuing development of the tilting engine concept and lightweight hulls, it is now
possible to build spaceships which don't use hydrogen, but still look like spaceships and not like
a pile of thrusters that has some boxes bolted on top of it. ( I am looking at you, my other creations ) The new tilting mechanism is also more reliable while the ship is moving.

YOU CAN SAFELY TILT THE ENGINES WHILE MOVING, as long as you stay below the rotor safety lock speed.

That means you can tilt at 91m/s, if you so wish. You don't even have to turn the dampeners off.
During the tilting process, all tilting engines are shut down automatically and come back online
once the procedure is finished after about 30 seconds. The cockpit has a status display for the
tilting procedure.

The Revelation houses all of her tilting ion thrusters safely within her hull. There are 138 of them.
The tilting thrusters can also be repaired with adjacent welders, built into the mechanism.
With the way the thrusters are arranged it was possible to get a large number of thrusters into a
relatively small space, leaving a lot of room for hangars on the ship.

These hangars provide space for a large variety of vehicles. All these vehicles are made to operate
in all environments. The flying vehicles are able to land on and return from planets and they can
hover at any altitude on planets.

The two large grid corvettes have tilting engines too, though on the earth like planet they can hover
in space mode even at sea level.

The six dropships can carry four soldiers each for quick deployment on the field. These soldiers
are kept in cryo sleep until they are needed, to save on crew space. The dropships also feature the
tilting technology, for better performance in all environments.

The eight drones are mostly for close combat defense, due to their short range antennas. They are
able to go to space aswell, as long as there is an antenna connection. You can also swap them for
welding and grinding drones, if you have got some available. This gives you the ability for repairs
in the field.

The 16 fighters don't have tilting engines, as this would make them far too large and frail.
They favor fixed engines for a smaller signature and reliability under fire, but they are still as
capable as the other vehicles.

The ground vehicles, or "cars" as one might call them, are using small thrusters for "downforce",
instead of artificial masses. This makes them 100% resistant to sudden shifts in artificial gravity
and gives them the ability to drive basically anywhere, where there is a solid surface. You can
even drive around an asteroid, up the walls or on the ceiling. So these vehicles are also made for
all scenarios that are possible for them.

Thanks to the lightweight structure of the Revelation, it can have 30 Jump drives on board, giving
it a range of about 2000km, when fully loaded.

The ship itself weighs roughly 33.5 million kgs. With all the vehicles loaded and 2 million kgs of
supplies and ammunition on board it should end up somewhere close to 37.8 mio kgs. If you exceed
this weight you increase your planetary stopping distances significantly. It is not recommended to do this!

This ship uses electric engines only, but has a single hydrogen tank, for the jetpack of the crews,
or eventual civilian shuttles docking and in need for fuel.

The ship also has 20 gatling turrets for close combat defense. But as a carrier vessel it should stay
away from the fighting and send waves of fighters instead. If things do go hilariously wrong, you can
still try to jump away. The emergency jumpdrive gets drained last, so even if you jump 1900km into a
trap, you still have one fully charged jumpdrive to get you about 70km far away to buy you some time.

In any other case you need to run to the lifepods. There are 10 of them with room for two people
each. Just press the button when you are seated and the pod will detach automatically. If you are on
a planet you will land safely with a parachute.

The orange indicator lights on the airlocks and doors are OFF, when oxygen is present beyond the
door. If the indicators are ON, there will be a vacuum on the other side.

A copy of every smaller ship should be docked in this blueprint. Civilian shuttle not included.

On planets you can fly this ship like a helicopter, tilt it in the direction you want to go. There is just
about enough thrust to stop you from drifting randomly, when you are nearly level. Though the Revelation can accelerate quite fast in space, it is not very agile. But thats what you get with a capital ship.
