Monstrous Tales from the Forbidden Dark - Chapter III

“The damp carven is filled with corruption. You wonder how any wholesome marine life could exit in this foul place. Just as you are getting use to the sight of walking fishes, you were assaulted by unnaturally large tentacles. It crawls out from everywhere, and beyond, you could only make out of a giant, bulbous body.”

This mod adds several monsters into the Cove dungeon. (5 common enemies, and 1 boss). They offer differnt encounters, and some require differnt strategies to best them.


Still trying out for balance and such, let me know how it plays. Also so far I only tried on start of a new game, but I think the quest should appear if added to a exisiting game too.

-Boss Strategy-

- When first encounter the Kraken, its tentacles have a strong protection buff. You need to hit the body first, which will give all a protection debuff. Hit back and forth between the two.
-The Kraken also have some strong move when reach rank 1 or 4. Should try to keep it at rank 2 and 3 if possible.
- The Kraken only heal at spot 4, avoid this if get it on low hp.
- One strategy is to hit the body to weaken the tentcale's prot, weaken the 3 tentcale (but don't kill it yet). Once set up, kill 2, and hit the main body, and after that, try keep it at spot 2,3.

Design Note:
Being at this for while now (few months). Was keeping having bug issue, and didn't have much time to work too hard on it.
But Finally finshed (I think). Still missing few things, hopefully to add on to it later.

Что не так с русской локализацией? Файл русского перевода вроде нормальный но в игре все отображается синим текстом

A Version without the kraken would be nice, I absolutely love the new enemies, I don't know why Red hook didn't think to add ghost pirates to the cove. But the kraken is just bad. his sprite breaks frequently, I got the 'slay the king kraken' quest twice, his boss trophy is just the occultist's CC trinket but mirrored and i just can't stop seeing the mamoth cyst in him. sorry.

0: delete "SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\262060\1087665130\modfiles.txt"
1: find .xml files at "SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\262060\1087665130\localization"
2: edit .xml files. In every XML file, add the XML node for your language.
3: Drag any XML file you edited, to "steamapps\common\DarkestDungeon\_windows\localization.exe"
4: when you drag and drop, new .loc2 file will be generated in "1087665130\localization", rename it as old .loc2 file.
5: lookup in game, it should be worked.

Hi, I have a problem with blue code instead of enemies and their attacks names, I play in spanish but, how can I change the language of just the mod for solve my problem?

Update, turns out this was due to already being in mission in my save when those updates were loaded. I was able to roll my game back to the hamlet using a save editor and everything seems to be ok. If anyone runs into a similar issue you just need to force your game out of the mission.

This update broke my save, exited the game during the champion kraken mission and the mod autoupdated and now i can't open my save without a mash entry index error :( I've been trying to fix it for hours and nothing has worked.
