Better Balanced Maxwell

Description
Rebalances to Maxwell to improve him and give him easier access to magic while enhancing his identity as a magician. The changes are as follows.

  • Regens 10 sanity/min. (From 6.7)

  • Can craft Shadow Manipulator recipies at presihatator.

  • Starts with presihatator blueprint.

  • Shadow duelists have 225 hp. (From 75.)

  • Shadow minions have double hp regen.

  • Shadow duelists cost 25% max sanity. (From 35%.) Can have max of 3 duelists active.

Please note that these changes are balanced for cooperative play and not other gamemodes such as The Forge.

I strongly recommend that you take a look at the mod Enhanced Shadows Brain http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=688304001
altough it needs some serious tweaking in my opinion, it does have almost all the options you will need to make the shadows more useful.

personally, I feel that 10/min sanity regen is still a bit too short, even while not wearing shadow gear, but apparently people can only imagine maxwell with 6, 6,67, 10 or 20 regen and nothing inbetween... conclusion: people are weird.

I use those two mods with lots of disabling in their options (like no sanity drain for shadows, unless you set regen to 20) to make maxwell playable and not a gigantic troll on my coop servers.

also I am not sure I approve of shadows wearing hats...

hey when you got a problem of putting armor on your shadows maybe you could try this (if it is programmable) whatever armor maxwell wears his shadows wear the same

The biggest problem with duelists is the inconsistent damage they take from mobs. Some don't have any bonus damage and deal the same to players and followers. (Hounds deal 20.) Rooks deal 40 damage to players and 200 to other mobs. (Shadow duelists, Abigail, and other followers included.) Combined with most mobs in DST having 2-3x more health followers are much more likely to die than in Don't Starve. It doesn't help that duelists have a measly 75hp in vanilla and can only fight while they could do other tasks in single player. 225hp is decent but I want to improve them in other ways in the future.

Armor equipping would be a nice addition but I am unsure how to implement it. A permanent damage resistance akin to Wigfrid's might be a viable change as well. Kiting improvements would be a great implementation as well; probably the best in my opinion but not something I can do at this present time.

+SoggyGhost Making him rely on shadow duelists isn't a great idea all around, as even with these buffs they're not going to kill deerclops or any giant for him, lacking armor. I would love if somehow the shadows could wear armor, as you could rely on them to actually have a chance in fights against tough enemies.
