cool expansion that's kinda just more of the same but has some creative and fun levels. it's a little short but nothing to complain about

this game is so fire

good game but about halfway through the hard difficulty was so insane and miserable that it ruined the whole experience for me (yeah i know i could've just picked an easier difficulty but it was too late to just start over). also had to noclip several times just to make progress because of bugs. the pacing and interesting story is great though so it was still worth playing. again the game is good but i just had a bad experience with it, if it's your first time playing don't play on hard lol

this is a hugely underrated game that shouldn't be overlooked if you are starving for more arcadey offroad racing games. the physics combined with the camera movements make the driving in this game extremely satisfying, even more than some AAA games in this genre. there isn't an insane amount of content but with this game being literally $2 when on sale you get more than what you pay for. the car roster and track selection are great with a lot of variety. the progression is very basic and there isn't much presentation either being just a single player campaign with some mini boss dudes with funny cutscenes thrown in. if you want to buy this game on sale then i recommend buying the standard version as the dlc is pretty weak, the only one worth getting being the porsche dlc since you can actually use those vehicles while playing through the main events unlike the other dlc. as of writing this review the servers are still online so if you want to get the online achievements you can gift this game to someone and play with each other for like 1 hour and you can refund it.

i've played this game for 250 hours but i still feel very mixed about it. every aspect of this game is engineered to make you feel pain, from the atrocious menus, matchmaking that will constantly put you in games with wannabe esports players, comically bad map design, weird progression system, lack of much needed content and changes, and monetization schemes. i admit i keep playing this game because i buy into the battle passes and the FOMO hits me hard. but, the gunplay and attention to detail is stellar which is probably the only reason anyone is still playing this game. the campaign, spec ops, and DMZ mode is pretty fun but it's probably not going to keep you playing for that long, at least not as long as the developers want you to play it at least, with all of the unlockables they put in those modes. when it comes to presentation, this game is a 10/10. the gameplay is great, but with how the game is designed it's just annoying to play, with horrible maps built for campers and annoying playstyles and an endless supply of players that think they're competing in COD world finals or some ♥♥♥♥. in short, the game is very good on a basic level but annoying game design kinda ruins it

never played the first game but for early access this game is pretty good. performance was horrible at first but it got better after a couple hours of gameplay even with high graphics on my mid tier pc.

the inventory system is cool and the backpack is a neat idea but it can be cumbersome trying to swap to different tools and weapons during any situation.

but there's not much else for me to complain about; the graphics are stunning, the foliage and lighting is almost eye watering to look at.

the building is expansive and satisfying but if playing alone it can take ages to build structures, the next gen tree chopping kinda makes up for it though.

and also, Kelvin is a true legend and the hardest working man on the planet, just don't let him help you find logs for your treehouse

got softlocked at the beginning, game runs like ♥♥♥♥ and also EA abandoned this game when it was at its peak

edit: still keeping the negative review but after beating the story i installed the unite mod and damn it makes the game look and play so much better. having a lot of fun with the simcade physics and the visuals/sounds are stunning
