If you are looking for a couch co-op game, this is pretty amazing.
(It has controller support and dynamic split screen depending on whether you are closely together or not)

The game has nice voice acting, great writing , lots of humor, vibrant colors, a quest system which is not really a quest system (you come across events/objects/people which push forward your quest log. There are multiple ways to stumble upon a quest. It is a not a questgiver/dostuff/goback kinda system). The co-op system also allows you to "argue" with your team mate over plot points/decisions, which you can then fight out with rock/paper/siccors influenced by your stats.

It has a nice and flexible turn-based combat system which allows you to use the environment to your advantage (water, electricity ,steam, lava, etc).
Probably my favourite talent in the game is "Pet Pal", which allows you to talk with animals which is surprisingly hilarious and helpful....

The best way to describe this game is that it is like you are playing a D&D campaign where there is a DM in the background pushing you along the story, but also giving you the freedom to approach it however you like and to discover all kinds of things around the towns/areas.
