The game is actually good and has an satisfying gameplay. There is nothing wrong with the game expect for its price. The price is definitely not worth the price, the game is very but very expensive if we look from the main perspective. I would buy the game again once the developers have changed the price. In my opinion the game should me atleast around 1 to 3 bucks.

An solid 7.5/10.

I checked the rat traps for food after 3 days of not eating and not finding anything canned when I raided my neighbors house and the kid's school. I found nothing in the traps and had to go out and shoot a stranger over a handful of vegetables.

Then I went home and played This War of Mine. It really helped take my mind off of it. 10/10.

This game is a beautiful story about mental health, revenge, abuse and redemption. This is by far the most compelling psychological horror game I've ever played. I will warn that it has a multitude of triggers in it and this game has no remorse when it comes to dealing with difficult topics; though it handles them all with grace and empathy. Please make sure you are in a safe mental space when playing this title. However it is ABSOLUTELY worth playing it and the rest of the series. This game grips you from the beginning and never lets you go.

"Against the Storm" is an unique game that tackles a lot of issues I have with base-building simulators:
You won't get stuck in a sprawling city where one half is underdeveloped, and the other half is way ahead. You won't get bored because the gameplay loop is short and rewarding. The city-building level usually wraps up right as things start to get messy, which is very satisfying. You can barely win, leave that city behind, and move on to the next one. Hell, you can even lose, and the game will still reward you with some resources for upgrades.

I've been playing this game extensively before the launch, and even then, I got hooked almost instantly. Now, the game looks a bit different, a lot of work has been done, and I'm personally very happy with the end product.

Totally recommended.

I'll be blunt, the Multiplayer doesn't work because Runic took down the servers for it, and so this game suffers from what older Multiplayer games suffer from... You'd have to use a program alike Hamachi, but I don't recommend doing that because it's not safe and not proven to work correctly... Just forget about playing TL2 with your friends, even if you attempt a LAN connection.

It's just a Single Player game now...

Within the last two weeks of posting this review I put in 41 hours of my 110 hours total. So I did play this years ago when Multiplayer was working and it was fun back then, yet it suffered from extremely terrible loot and literally no Crafting System... Getting a Legendary set(?) forget about it! Everything about the loot is pure RNG, from the monster or boss or chest drops, to the gear you can buy from Merchant NPC's. I don't have an answer as to why it is made this way, but in my personal opinion it is horrible...

To be blunt again... The Classes suck. Combat and leveling is extremely slow. Playing Vanilla will take forever and the Quest loot sucks like everything else lol... All I feel is pain! Uh now what's the story? Guardians? Evil? It takes so long to progress that you'll forget the Story and it'll be a waste of time to remember it...

Alright, I've pointed out enough of the ugly sides of this game. There's still some good parts in the game like the Maps and the Art of the world. Going through the Maps feels right and there's very handy items and Portals, Puzzles are really basic but not annoying, they won't hold your hand.

And about the Onscreen UI Map, you can keep pressing the M key to change the location of it, so that's handy for multiple reasons.

There's no doubt that the game has some good QoL features (look around in Settings to see more), and the Combat being so basic will be easy to understand but your Build overall isn't going to magically get better.

One thing I 100% recommend doing is binding your Movement and Interaction's with NPC's, to your Space Bar. You can still use your normal Mouse 1 to interact with the UI. But this will help keep you from smashing down your poor Mouse Buttons all the time! And if you want to, bind your main Spell Attack that uses Mana to the Left Shift key. But of course your Number Buttons can be slotted with Mana Skills too.

I'll be honest- my only favorite thing about this game is being able to get Achievements while the game is also Modded, I'm saying that the game will not disable achievements when you have Mods! I hope some of you will appreciate that like I do!

Anyway, Modding is the only thing that really saved this game for me when I went back to it, 'cause you can speed up the combat drastically if you get the right mods. You can make Loot so much more rewarding. The game can become so over powered it's fun! If you like to break the balance of games TL2 is good for doing that.

TL;DR:
Again . . . this game is Dead and I wish it wasn't that way. I have very little love for it but I really enjoy the late game challenge of it and getting the achievements. But it's a frillin' shame that you can't complete the Multiplayer Achievements, like have up to 50 Friends and Player Trade...

Frankly this game is abandoned and it sucks! But that doesn't make it completely unplayable as a Single Player game. The negatives are too extreme for me to just Recommend buying it, if you do have your heart set on buying TL2, at least wait for a really Deep Sale on this game.

And do really think about Modding TL2 to fix the horrid problems you dislike about it. Sorry, there's no "Multiplayer Patch" Mods to fix that. Don't hope and Pray that Runic will update this game 'cause they took down the Multiplayer Servers in the first place.

Thanks for reading such a long Review. Have a good day!

Here's the list of Mods I use:
P.S: There's a lot of Mods that are bundled together into one pack, there's well over 30+ mods here. Modder's have to Bundle stuff together because the Maximum Mod limit is 10 slots.

Smarter Gambler (v.10) -- This mod will help with getting Unique Gear.
diablo complete pack (v.1) -- The Vanilla UI and Font, hurts my eyes.
level and fame mod (v.4) -- Max Player Level is 500 and New Game+ will scale with you.
turbolevel3 (v.9) -- Quest & Monster EXP is extreme!!!
TL1CP -- More Classes to play with.
Adventure pack II (v.120)
Synergies and Essentials Compatibility Patch
Torchlight II Essentials
SynergiesMOD (v.1375)
SynergiesHIGHLOOT (v.11)

Mod Order (this is important don't mix up the 4 or 6 lower mods):

Smarter Gambler
diablo complete pack
level and fame mod
turbolevel3
TL1CP
Adventure pack II
Synergies and Essentials Patch
Torchlight II Essentials
SynergiesMOD
SynergiesHIGHLOOT

During yesterday's play session we found a shipwreck above a sea cave. While exploring the shipwreck, two players got infected with body-controlling parasites and were pumped full of opiates and antibiotics. One of the players mentioned also got a gunshot wound from the other, who missed a mudraptor hatchling attacking him. Another player got 3rd degree burns and radiation sickness for opening a door behind which was the shipwreck reactor now bubbling into the darkness. Later on, yet one of the players got attacked by angry fish while mining minerals near an unknown infrasonic signal, his body devoured never to be found again.

Nothing of the above was scripted.

This game is about you and your friends on a journey to the perilous unknown in the pitch-black abyss underneath the ice crust of Europa. I honestly don't even remember the last time a videogame offered such an experience. This game is capital A Adventure.

5/5 would suffocate on the seafloor again.

Interesting atmospheric mystery puzzle. A very intricate puzzle solved mostly in one room, though the room has many aspects and a story in many pieces. The attention to detail is incredible and there is something mesmerizing about the room, its contents and the way all these things fit together. Recommended for anyone who loves puzzles and strange atmosphere. There's something of Edgar Allen Poe, something of Twin Peaks and something different altogether in the Rusty Lake universe.

Michonne is one of the most vivid characters. I really like the TWD series and pretty sure that there are lots of fans of it,too. This game is just one of Michonne's backgrounds. It's a good short story. If you're a huge the TWD's fan, this game is strongly recommended. So don't pass it by and get much pleasure...
