As a game this fails in all aspects. The shooting mechanics is pretty terrible. the game stutters as well which is annoying. The art is def inspired and a love letter to H.R. Giger but honestly, just google his images and art. there are puzzles in this game as well and they are awful. either they are super simple or just hard enough to make you want to ask for a refund. puzzles are boring and lack any kind of imagination.

Just watch a Tool music video.

This is def a story driven walking sim. It is a sci-fi thriller which is what intrigues me. This is not comparable to Dead Space and reminded me more of Firewatch. The mechanics of the game is to walk slowly or press and hold left analog stick/shift to walk slightly faster. you use button prompts for looking at things like audio logs, posters, and video logs. There are also QTEs which don't matter until you are trying to do the alternate ending (which sucks btw). Just be aware there is no combat or anything like that. They have a powerhouse of voice actors and they def deliver with what is given to them dialogue wise. This game has a great setting being on Mars going through a research facility. The characters have heft to them when you are controlling them which comes off more sluggish than adding some sort of realism. The story itself is pretty interesting although short and unsatisfying. I do like the bit of ambiguity.

Graphically this game looks great but has these moments where it looks very off. The software Lumen looks terrible. There is just too much visual noise it looks like walls are boiling or something. There is no option to turn it off. The options menu has very terrible graphical settings. There is also no ultrawide support. I also do not understand why we can not rebind buttons in the game menu or toggle the "1.3x walking speed" no you have to hold the button down. Performance wise I didn't have many stutters but they are there. I had a weird bug where I was stuck in a vent shaft when the button prompts just didn't work and had to reboot the game. I did not have any crashes. I also experienced very odd DLSS 3 ghosting or double imaging so I ended up not using it. I didn't have any crazy FPS drops either that I noticed which is surprising since this is a unreal engine game. I also had one big Stutter where the game literally stopped dead in its tracks and all a sudden the game changed my Xbox controller prompts to Playstation ones... okay? Overall performance is good I cant say its bad.

Edit:

So... this game feels like it should have just been a Netflix series bc I do not think this works as a game although, I think this would have been one of the few good Netflix series. as a Game... I do not recommend this.

I really tried to like this game. Overall its a very basic generic open world game. if you've played far cry, assassins creed, or any open world game. you've played this game. there are other games that do what this game does but a lot better. The robot dinos are def the highlight of the game and designed super well but clunky controls made me feel it was more of a chore to play than anything. The mounts in this game are slow and hard to control. Also I don't know what it was but shooting in this game was very off. like either the cross hair is not right or the projectile speed is off. (probably just me).

Aloy is the protagonist of the game and i gotta say she is very bland and boring. The voice acting in this game is mediocre. The side quests are pretty forgettable and a waste of time. To me this will always be remembered as the game that launched along side breath of the wild.

Lastly, I do think the story of this game is very good. It does have its dumb moments but overall how it plays out is pretty good. there is just too many times where I just was not having fun and rolled my eyes at dialogue. I also only had 2 crashes and had stutter in very dense populated areas in the game but nothing too bad. overall performance was good enough.

Horizon Zero Dawn... Play any other game.

This is a great sequel to Innocence. It really wraps up the journey of Amicia and Hugo. (Hugo still sucks). Amicia's arc is amazing to witness. Cool to see her getting battle hardened and it messing with her mind. There is very little to complain about story wise other than imo its a bit too long. there are many new places you visit that are grand in scale and there were times I just walked around slowly to appreciate the scenery whether it be high up overlooking a beach and ocean or a crazy rats lair. Amicia's voice actor showed her conviction in this role and you can tell Amicia means so much to her.

I played this game with the dual sense edge. the adaptive triggers were forgettable but the haptic feedback vibration was really what you'd want. the dual sense made you feel the drops of rain, rats feeling like they were in your controller and the brushing of bushes as you sneaked through them. I enjoyed that very much however the control scheme for MNK was def better if you dont care for using a controller.

Performance wise I had only 1 crash my entire play through. I played with DLSS quality and DLSS 3. DLSS 3 worked great but there was little artifacting. you'll see it if you looking for it. DLSS 3 also made my game feel a bit slower at times. like the camera control was just a little sluggish. In the end I turned off DLSS 3 and RT shadows and the game felt so much smoother. I played at High settings from there on. There is a little stuttering i witness in my play but nothing too crazy. Never encountered any game breaking bugs or anything just not working like it should.

Some stuff I didn't like was the abilities you get from your play style. its very poorly done. Its confusing and you never know if you're really doing the right thing to level up to the specific ability you want. I can see a lot of people just not getting it right away and the game does a poor job of telling you how to or if you're doing something right. Also there's one section of the game where you play as Hugo and you walk across a courtyard and then a hallway and that's it. why not just make that into a cinematic.

Overall I think this game is completely worth full price especially if you have enjoyed the first game.

This game is a bit short for the price and the optimization is good enough I suppose. Its a generic revenge story against a mega corporation. Miles is mediocre and no where near as interesting as the Miles from the movies. Also, I think this Miles voice is annoying. Some stuff I liked was the combat and visuals when they were actually loaded in. Miles move set and gadgets make this game very easy. Its also just satisfying to swing around NYC. A lot of the costumes are cool. BODEGA CAT!

Performance wise this game needs more work. I probably went through about 5 to 6 crashes all in different areas and points in the game. Texture streaming seems to still be a issue like in Spider-Man Remastered. There was a moment where Kingpins head only populated which is funny. also DLSS 3 performed great and never really noticed any Visual issues other than Miles suit near the end spazzing out. I did have few moments where the calls Miles gets repeated over and over. I also encountered some bugs that did not allow me to progress such as just getting stuck in the open and hitting invisible walls. I used a Dual sense Edge controller and after a while i could not do moves that required a multiple button input (pressing Triangle and Circle for a finisher) and there were times where i had severe input delay. Once I rebooted the game it corrected itself.

Should have been DLC for Spider-Man Remastered. Get it on Sale.

RE3 is a great addition to these new remakes. Jill Valentines character model looks great and she is represented very well. Whenever i wanna jump back in a RE game i always fire this one up. Also Nemesis looks great. Some stuff is def missing compared to the old PS1 version but i don't care because...

...Jill has jiggle physics.

Days Gone... this game is Good and Bad at the same time. Overall i would recommend it. I would Wait for a massive discount though. The beginning of the game is such a slog and takes a while to get the feel of the game and used to the weird dialogue. Controls are kinda weird or have the feeling of being heavy. I do like that the open world is not too big and easy to get around. Fighting the hordes was really fun and once you get far enough even on Survival mode II is a cake walk. Once you know the mechanics and get used to the clunky controls its fun. Its also hilarious seeing enemies flying in the air when you shoot them.

Performance wise I was surprised how well it ran being a unreal game. The game i feel is very optimized but i would get some visuals bugs here and there or terrain and objects not fully rendering. I saw very minimal stutter but nothing compared to Callisto Protocol. (i like Callisto Protocol btw). The main character eventually grows on you and you like him but every other character is very uninteresting.
