I am thrilled to share my thoughts after completing my first run in Hades 2, a game that has captivated me for the past 21 hours. As someone who discovered the first game after its full launch, I couldn't contain my excitement at the opportunity to provide feedback to a developer group that genuinely values and listens to their fan base, regardless of whether they are new or long-time players.

Let me start by saying that this game is absolutely phenomenal, even in its early access stage. The amount of content it offers is staggering, and it will only continue to expand in the coming months (which has me incredibly hyped!). From new gods and boons to additional areas, side characters, weapons, and mechanics, everything in Hades builds upon the incredible foundation laid by its predecessor. The world and characters established in the first game are further developed, and the story takes an exciting turn with a time skip and the introduction of a formidable foe tied to an unknown past. It's a joy to witness the fates of beloved characters while also getting acquainted with a new cast that shares a deep connection with them.

Now, I must admit that I do have a few concerns. My biggest issue so far lies in the enemy timing and the dash and sprint mechanics. While there is nothing inherently wrong with these aspects individually, I have found myself struggling with the controls at times due to a lack of precision and encountering minor bugs. For instance, during gameplay, my character occasionally gets stuck facing one direction, making it impossible to sprint or dash correctly until I lose a life. Additionally, I find the abundance of currencies and the grind associated with them slightly overwhelming. Although the concept itself is not flawed, I believe reducing the number of door options that require currency, adjusting the amount received for each currency, and allowing familiars to gather more items would greatly improve the overall experience.

Despite these minor issues, I wholeheartedly believe that Hades 2 is a game that is well worth your time and money. Its immersive world, captivating story, and dedication to its fan base make it a truly exceptional gaming experience. Whether you are a long-time fan or a newcomer, I urge you to embark on this thrilling journey and discover the wonders that await in the realm of Hades.
