HItman Blood Money is honestly a masterpiece.

To start off, I feel the gameplay is perfected here, everything has been pretty much improved: The gunplay feels the best, Sedative now permanently keep enemies down, and really everything is just better here.

New gameplay features include 47 being able to climb structures, The Ability to upgrade weapons, being able to throw objects as a distraction or at someone, the ability to use healing items and more.

There are also now accidents which can make your hits count as accidents which means that they won't be counted as a hit which is helpful for Silent Assassin ranks as well there is now a noteriety meter which will fill up if you play sloppy and the higher it gets, the higher the chance that NPC's will recognize 47 in later levels which means that you need to really play safe, although you can throw money at it to take it down.

Another nice new feature is the Newspaper which gives a detailed report about your mission which is pretty cool, sure they follow the same few templates but it is still a cool feature to have.

The graphics look really nice here as this was the first game in the series to appear on the Xbox 360 and they look pretty good still even today, although some characters again look really weird. The Music by Jesper Kyd is pretty amazing once again and this sadly would be his last work on the series.

The levels here are all very memorable and fun to play as there are many different ways to go about playing them, there are 13 levels in total and pretty much all of them are solid with no real bad levels.

I really cannot explain how good Blood Money is, you really just need to play it for yourself, It's the best Hitman game by far and you should play it even if you are only remotely interested in Hitman. Do yourself a favor and play this game, you will not regret it

Hitman Contracts is a sequel to Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and I feel is often overlooked which is a shame because this game improves upon Hitman 2 in just about every way.

For starters the ai is improved tenfold with them no longer seemingly shooting you for 0 reason whatsoever, granted sometimes this can still happen but it is a lot less common than in Hitman 2.

The graphics have gotten a pretty nice visual upgrade and they really fit the dark and gloomy tone of this entry

Speaking of which: Hitman Contracts is probably the darkest game in the series with all levels taking place in a stormy rainy night. The Reason for this is because the story for this game is that after a botched mission in Paris, 47 is seriously wounded and is on the floor dying and starts to have flashbacks to previous assignments he has done, and because it was a rainy night when he is bleeding out, that image is leaking into his mind maknig him remember past assignments as being in rainy nights which is a brilliant touch.

As for the levels themselves there is only 12 this time but all of the levels feel memorable and are thankfully pretty large. Half of the levels are original for this game while the other half are remakes of levels from the first game: Codename 47, the levels remade have been completely remade with layout changes, a new look and some new objectives as well in some cases. This was a smart choice as most players did not experience Codename 47 and due to how dated it is, most probably would not want to revisit it. So having it's best levels remade in Contracts enables players to experience some of 47's first assignments and it gives veteran players a challenge by making the levels different so they cannot just go on auto pilot mode while playing them.

I also feel I should mention the music composed by Jesper Kyd, he made music for Codename 47 which focused on Electronic beats and Hitman 2 which focused on Orchestral style music. This one features music that has more of a focus on Ambiance which is a nice touch as the music really fits the more dark and gritty tone that Hitman Contracts has and frankly this may be Jesper Kyd's best work in the Hitman series imo.

So with Nicer graphics, Great Levels, Improved gameplay and ai as well as awesome music and a nice change of pace with the tone, Hitman Contracts is quite an outstanding game. It improves upon Hitman 2 in every way and honestly if you ever dismissed the game as just being a Hitman 2 expansion pack or never played it at all, you should give this game a go, you won't be disappointed.

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is a pretty classic games for a lot of good reasons which I will get into with this review.

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is a sequel to Hitman Codename 47, in this sequel you once again control Agent 47 who after the events of Codename 47 quits the life of an assassin and questions if he has a place in the world due to the past deeds he has done. He now lives with a pastor in a sanctuary but when his Pastor Friend is kidnapped, 47 must contact the agency and return to what he does best in order to save him.

The Story really adds a human layer to Agent 47's character which is nice, he really does feel more well rounded as a character in general in this game as opposed to Codename 47 where he felt like a more silent person to me.

In terms of gameplay pretty much everything is improved from Codename 47: There are many new options in combat and the gunplay is heavily refined feeling much better than it did before and 47 can take more damage. You also have the ability to non lethally take out someone to take a disguise however they will wake up within a short period and when they do they will run to a guard and inform them of what happened which will more than likely lead to an alert mode where every guard is hunting you down.

There is a new suspicion meter here which informs the player of how suspicious they are to the guards however it tends to be glitchy as guards will sometimes shoot you for seemingly no reason whatsoever despite you doing nothing wrong. You also cannot sprint past someone while in disguise as that will cause them be alerted, which really sucks because 47 moves so slow in this game and there is a lot of very huge maps in the game which makes getting around sometimes a chore.

The Graphics look pretty good for 2002 which lots of big open environments that look pretty nice, however the character models do look a bit meh in terms of quality.

There are 21 missions in total although a lot of them tend to be small maps that are like different sections of assignments. for instance there is one level later in the game that has you going to an office building in Malaysia and the level is split into 3 different small maps which can be finished in rather quick fashion, there are some huge levels but by and large most of the levels are small making the mission count feel somewhat artifically inflated.

Overall this game is a classic and really was a huge step-up from the previous game. This game can be had for quite cheap so it is quite worth a purchase although be prepared to deal with Ai that tends to be pretty broken at times and getting the game to run in a modern widescreen resolution properly can become a bit of an annoyance. All in all though, if you are a Hitman fan you absolutely should play this game.

Max Payne is an absolute classic game and is worth your time for the whole duration.

Max Payne puts you into the role of..well Max Payne, an NYPD Police Officer who after returning home for duty one day comes into contact with a very tragic event that sends him spiraling downwards, from there on out you play as Max and go through many level filled with classic shooting action while trying to solve the mystery of who caused Max so much grief.

Max Payne is a typical Third Person shooter game with elements you would expect to see in a third person shooter but what makes it so memorable is the Bullet Time Function. Bullet Time allows Max to slow down time so he can get an advantage on enemies, you can also do a side dodge bullet time as well, Bullet time is limited to a meter but killing enemies refills the Meter

What makes Max Payne truly unique was it's style and tone: The Game is set up like a Noir Style Crime film with nice Graphic Novels made with real life people featuring narration by the Voice Cast to tell the story. All of this makes the game feel truly special and the panels are really well made.

I also must mention actor James McCaffery's performance as the voice of Max Payne. He delivers each line with exceptional good delivering and he really fits the mood and character of Max Payne and thankfully he would be the Voice of Max for all 3 Max Payne games

This game is honestly a classic and really a review cannot do it justice, you simply need to play this game on your own to truly experience it. Just be sure to use the sound fix when you play it so you get the full experience. The game is truly one of a kind and is my favorite game of all time.

Max Payne 1 is a masterpiece, absolutely a 10/10

I must start this review off by saying I am not a huge fan of Half Life despite playing 1, 2 as well as Blue Shift and Episode One & Episode Two of Half-Life 2. I found Half-Life 1 to be mostly good, Blue Shift was forgettable, Half-Life 2 and Episode One were mediocre, and Episode Two was actually quite good. But I found them to be a bit uninspired mostly. So when I played Opposing Force I went in thinking that it would also feel pretty meh but I was quite pleasantly surprised about how good Opposing Force actually is. So this time Development duties were handed off to Gearbox, yes the same Gearbox who would later make Borderlands, While Valve was involved in the creation of this game, they took a backseat overseeing role as they were busy with other projects at the time. So with that out of the way, let's look into what makes this game fantastic, and see if there are any flaws to be found

Pros:

1. The Story is very interesting, you play as Cpl. Adrian Sheppard of the United States Marines, he is on the mission to eliminate all Black Mesa Personel to cover up the Black Mesa incident, however upon arrival your helicopter is shot down and you're taken into Black Mesa, and things continue from there.

2. The level design is really good here as it's a nice blend of horror, puzzle solving and combat, it's also paced rather well which is appreciated.

3. There are a lot of new enemies featured here such as some new aliens as well as a Male black ops varient of the assassin enemy which are as deadly as the female counterparts from the first game. This adds some variety to what you will encounter in the game which is nice.

4. Sheppard is equipped with Night Vision instead of a Flash

4. There are also many new weapons such as a Sniper Rifle, a Light Machine Gun, A Desert Eagle, A Wrench, A Combat Knife, The Displacer Cannon (Bootleg BFG), A shock roach, The Spore Launcher and the Barnacle Arm alongside the returning Spas 12, Tripmines, Grenades, MP5 and 9MM Pistol. These new weapons breathe new life into the game and really are fun to use, it makes the game feel fresh, and as an added Bonus: The Magnum and Crossbow appear in the game's Multiplayer.

5. Speaking of Which: Multiplayer is back and is great once again, you have the traditional deathmatch which is fun and you also have a CTF (Capture The Flag) which is nice, and there are some fun new maps.

6. The game is also paced really well which is nice as I feel Half-Life 1 dragged on for a bit too long and got slow at times, thankfully this doesn't have this issue.

7. G-Man makes an appearence in this game and that alone is a plus, because G-Man is awesome.

8. The game ends with a pretty epic boss fight, although the boss is easy once you figure it out, but still it's great that sheppard got to finish off with a boss, unlike Barney who got a bunch of mere grunts.

So that's it for positives, you may be wondering is there any negatives? well there is maybe 1 or 2, so let's take a gander

Cons:

1. The Enemies still rely on Hitscan here instead of projectiles which once again can lead to you getting drained easily if you aren't being careful, which just sucks honestly as you'd think an issue like that shouldn't exist. I get that Hitscan at the time is common and even nowadays still is, but like I always say if it's well implemented like in Doom then it isn't a problem at all, in Half-Life though it just is badly implemented and at times feels unfair.

2. Some sections of the game can be insanely brutal making it hard to pass by with any HP left which can lead you to getting shredded on the next one. This normally isn't an issue if one plays with quick saves but for someone like me who doesn't, you may be in for some bumpy rides.

But yeah other than those 2 small blemishes, this game is honestly oustanding and easily the best Half-Life game of them all. You should absolutely give this game a try, even if you're only slightly interested in Half-Life, I would recommend giving this game a look as it's just fantastic, absolutely seek this out and play it if you are a Half-Life fan or want to play all the games.

Half-Life Opposing Force is a well done expansion and earns a 9/10

Doom 3 is honestly a very overlooked game and that is a shame because this is a great and engaging Game from start to finish.

This game is a reboot of sorts of Doom and it focuses more on Horror and progressing through the story in the vein of games like Half Life however the Heart and Soul of Doom is still in tact alongside the fast paced gameplay. There are moments when the action slows down so you can find like a keycard or solve a puzzle to progress but these are not often and they are a nice change of pace from the nonstop shooting.

All the guns feel wonderful, the monster design is pretty top notch with all the classic enemies getting a nice new look to them, and the atmosphere this game has with it's ambience, amazing lighting for 2004 and the constant feeling of being alone and surviving agaisnt a Demon onslaught really keeps you your guard for the whole way through and it honestly is just a great experience.

Honestly if you are a Doom fan you should play this game, you will probably like it. It may be a different direction for the franchise but in all honesty it is still very much a Doom game and it's style is similar to that of Doom 2016 but where Doom 2016 is more of an arena action shooter this one is more of a horror action shooter. Seek this out if you can, it is only 5 Dollars on Steam and for that price it is well worth it imo.

So overall DOOM 3 is a unique experience for the series, it gets a rather good 8/10
