Despite the changes from the first game, this game is the PERFECT sequel for me.

Edit 1: Also, despite the Sony account requirement, I will not be changing my review stance. This is a poor way of protest as it actively harms the game and drives away newcomers.

Edit 2: Upon obtaining more information, I am making this review temporarily negative to help Arrowhead get more sway with Sony. Arrowhead is currently trying to find alternatives, so don't worry. I hope they can change the deal or find another way of doing this. (Support the dev team through and through though.)

This DLC is good, but not 6 dollers good in my opinion. I found the story interesting, I understand it better than the base game because the DLC gives incentive to read the journals as they're found with story progression, not randomly. It's just far too short in my opinion, I completed it in about an hour, maybe an hour and a half, I just wish it had more pursuits or areas to explore. I still recommend it due to catching it on the Winter Sale, and liking the base game. It's a nice addition to endgame or midgame content even if it is too short for my taste.

I have done two playthroughs of this game, and I still can't stress enough about how good this game is. Went through it once on medium, once on hard. Both playthroughs I discovered something new, this game has endless surprises.

The game is a fricking masterpiece of art in its purest form. From its improved AI, creative combat encounters, to the weapon animations that made each weapon feel powerful in its own way.

This game is worth it's weight as a 20 dollar game, but it's free! I highly recommend this game. The literal ONLY problem I have with it is a minor one, it's simply the Pitdrone existing in the game after Race X got murdered by Shepard, and it's hardly a deal breaker! The Pitdrone was still fun to fight, even if it was a tiny bit out of place.

I have but one request as well. Please, please, please, PLEASE continue with what happens after the secret ending with your best friend (I will let new players figure this out :)

Since Steam has no "mixed" review option, this will have to do. This game is only Okay in my opinion. The combat, while fun at times, is way too infuriating for me to use. This game relies on counter attacking monsters that have no tells that I have been able to see. If that is fun for you, by all means, go ahead and by the game. But do be aware that this game based entirely around combat, did combat ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I just spent 22 hours going through this game and it was an utter blast! A tad tedious at times with gathering resources, i will admit. But other than that this game is perfect! I don't exactly like roguelikes, so this was a fantastic surprise. I would have included bullet hell as a reason for not getting it, but then I realized that I got the hang of dodging those parts.

Things you should know: Cult members can be very stupid and sometimes commit scatophilia. Resource gathering can take a while, meaning that you'll sometimes go through several dungeons and still not have enough resources for something sometimes. You might die at the very end of a boss where they're one hit away. And when in doubt, dodge.

Starting off, I'd say this game is fantastic. I love how well made each mystery is. Although, I'd like to list a few things that would, in my opinion, improve the game.

-More details for side jobs. The game gives you too little info, at least guarantee a name, a picture, fingerprints, or some identifying detail other than height, shoe size, their favorite food.
-Being able to talk to enforcers to bribe or convince them to let you onto the crime scene without resorting to sneaking in.
-In databases, being able to sort by building or characteristic. Such as, in the government database, being able to sort by what building their in, and then sorting by height or shoe size.
-Being able to see all names in a database, it will make combing through every name a lot less tedious
-Being able to ask people for more info on a target of a side job.
-Possibly multiple active murderers. It will make it a lot more interesting if you had two cases going at the same time. Of course, it could be an optional option.
-Making the killer's fingerprints pop up in more spots would give you more opportunities to get a lead. Getting softlocked because the clue was on a curtain just isn't fun.
-Improving where writing gets placed.
-Being able to take fingerprints and shoe size from people you knock unconscious.
-And finally, being able to take shoe size from the deceased.
