I've played the classic Sonic games to death at this point in my life and I enjoyed this collection so much - the addition of playable Amy Rose was just the icing on the cake. I didn't even mind that the physics were a little off to the original Genisis games or that there were a couple of things here and there that wasn't as polished, I'd still consider this a definitive collection! My only gripe was that the 8bit collection was all the low res badly ported GameGear versions and not the Master System versions which are far superior.

I really enjoyed playing this game. This is my first time playing though the classic sonic games and It's really nice having them all in one collection and in wide screen. I also bought it on sale for 15$. I've seen reviews online and it seems overly hated online, though a lot of the criticism was based on the game being 40$ on release witch I agree is way too much. I also saw people say the game is really buggy personally I have yet to see any bugs, But that could just be me. I also saw some people had issues with the controls IDK I got used to them after like 10 mins. All in all I think this is a great way to experience these games for the first time but defiantly try to buy it on sale.

I really don't have much to say about this game, honestly.

It's simply an alright collection of all 4 Classic Sonic games with some nice quality of life improvements and little bonuses like being able to play as Amy, some missions for each game, a little gallery with a nice collection of artwork and music, the game gear games, and some other stuff.

It absolutely could've had a lot more polish, options for customisation and maybe some more interesting features. But, again, what we have here is fine as it is.

But, I must say, there are MUCH better options to experience these games, all of them fan made, which, granted, don't come in a nice little package as this game, but those other fan made options offer just SO much more than this game ever could.

I'd say this is perfectly fine for the average player that is not very familiar with the series, since this is undoubtedly the best way to officially experience these games, but, if you have the Sonic brainrot as I do, you might want to look into getting those other much better and much more customisable fan made options.

And, if you think that mods might equal this game to the other fan made options, they don't.
