It's fun until you reach the last level or so, even on normal mode everyone's pretty tanky and unless you build like DoT then the bosses take like no damage.

Luckily it's on early access, it's got time to feel better, currently it's fun but Hades still wins in this even though I love Wuxia novels. It's the reason I bought this and Warm Snow, I recommend the game but if you're looking for the smoothest gameplay, maybe give it time

I bought it because of the way Fuwamoco says Garibaldi

It's pretty fun as a side game while I wait to get summoned to beat Rellana till she turns into pixie dust

I paid $5 and played this for 109 hours

It's absolutely worth it and it's a fun journey to play

You already know all the complaints, yeah its true

One point that stood out to me the most was the potion system, they do their best to make you feel like you're "surviving" early game by getting random potions but all it does is slow you down and waste your time. I'd voice my complaints more but what's the point

It was fun for a while but at some point you go, huh so the only changes left are the ones that aren't good. Then they get you to come back and I just gotta say, the only person who can keep ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me in the ass like this is Todd Howard

I only bought it because I had leftover money, don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ buy this ♥♥♥♥, I don't know if that third party app still exists, or just watch a youtube video

I still think banning that guy without actually speaking about it is something companies shouldn't be doing.

I've gone full circle though, it's a fun game but never have expectations, it'll ruin your experience.



Pros:
-If there's a skill you want, you can make it reach the endgame. (Spend enough currency to do it though)
-A ton of builds and so many ways to make a character
-Hours and hours of re-playable content
-Complex mechanics that you can sink your teeth into if you decide you wanted to play something different
-There's more but I only got 400 hours in the game currently

Cons
-Will kill your computer dead
-Will poorly run even if your computer is top tier
-You should really get into the mindset of failing when you make your own builds
-Too much stuff to actually learn, can't just jump into it haphazardly.

AVA IS NOT THE PROBLEM

- Now that that's out of the way, no she's not the problem. Although she is A problem of many I still recommend this game.
The story is not fantastic but in hindsight I never particularly loved it ,I just liked it, but I did enjoy the characters and how they were. This game could use a lot of work in terms of better character progression for certain people and I'm hoping the upcoming DLC's can somehow mend a lot of these problems.
[They didn't from what I heard, I'm not gonna play it, Maya gave me big sad already]
The reason I recommend it still is that I absolutely had a lot of fun playing this game and building my character.
The gunplay feels so solid, the weapons sound great and if you're a big fan of how guns work in BL then you'll like this game a hell of a lot more than you'd expect.

- I was neutral to the story but once I discovered the background of the main villains I liked them. I liked how they became a villain and their motivation but it still doesn't excuse the sad and tired "twitch streamer" route they went with. I'll say it was a good way to sort off build your army by getting people on your side but the Twins could've definitely been written better and approached in a different way than this.

-I stopped playing and only recently have I played again and during the Krieg DLC they kept showing Maya which made me sad and I'm writing this review after uninstalling because her being gone is just sadge. The ultimate complaint I have in this game and why did Maya and Lilith have to die? They could've really just done something else but I guess they wanted the shock value of Roland's death somehow but it wasn't anywhere close. I knew Maya was gonna die the second Ava got involved and Lilith? Lilith's a dumbass or whoever chose to write her off like that is. I don't know why she did what she had to but it's pretty clear that they want us to revere Ava as the new leader or whatever. I like her name but man is that character locomobius wreck. I can't begin to tell people how to do their job but man can I ♥♥♥♥♥ about how that character being written like that basically killed her right off the bat and people aren't likely to give second chances.

-I recommend you to play it still, you won't be able to avoid it whenever BL4 comes out but just watch the cutscenes enough on youtube so that you don't feel something.

I wanted to play a castlevania like game since they never make those anymore, they announced this game back in like 2015 and I had followed it ever since. 5 years later and I finally get to play it. It was well worth the wait, I'm gonna triple platinum uranium this game. If you enjoyed Symphony and Aria of sorrow. This game is those two games combined. I'm hoping they make a new one at some point in the future.
