TL;DR Too much filler between story for it to be consistently fun.

look imma be real, its a good game but theres so much fluff in this game. its similar to persona in looks and gameplay but in terms of experience its leaps different. dont come in expecting persona 6, the pacing is much more different and imo inconsistent.

Where persona has a consistent pace of dungeon to dungeon gameplay, metaphor lacks this in place of outside main dungeon missions where you must grind through the most boring battles just to keep up. If you cut out 50% of fights from this game it would probably be a lot better, and wouldnt be such a time sink. Story-wise its good, but i dont enjoy being drip fed the story, then forced to do hours of grinding just to get to the next story...

Please dont buy this game, its not worth 40 euros nor your time:
-the story is really really really convoluted and makes no sense,
-the characters are completely unpersonalised and one note if they even have that,
-barely any action and the most slow,
-boring dialogue that makes no sense, people are getting killed and characters joke around...
-dbd cross over is almost non existent just sprinkled trinkets, generator and skill check references, along with the ending -having more references.
-Its like they had a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid story game and just had dbd use this to promote a new killer.
-choices are stupid, dont matter or as simple as do you wanna be good or bad?
-the main villain frank stone is barely even touched upon, despite the trailers implying it will be about his past and history as a killer he doesnt even talk...

Not to mention the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ optimisation, 70gbs is horrible for a game that runs like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and didnt even release with the game files lol, let alone the fact it OPENS STEAM VR ANYTIME YOU OPEN THE GAME.

Slapping game, ignore negative reviews, from ppl who cant read past the front page of a steam game...

Interesting concept and story, sadly the gameplay really lets me down, I don't really find the puzzle play fun, but maybe you will? Its just trial and error in some cases, and pretty bland, its just clicking and taking notes for the most part, not my cup of tea. The story itself is quite bland, imagine when walter white brings that hostage into his basement, but that moral dillemma is the whole show.

Masterpiece in horror, psychological and overall relationship story-telling. Compelled me for all 5 hours I had played and quite frankly one of the best stories from the platform of gaming.

Not a big resident evil fan, but dear god I loved this game.

Was actually really fun to play 1v1s, think cod but free. very pog

Great Voice Acting compared to previous supermassive titles
Great cast of character personalities
Great opening
Max is the best
Strong Story until chapter 7

Cons.
Horrible story ending, the first 7 chapters were amazing then nose dived so hard
Poor and Easy Gameplay
Small moments of freezing and audio issues
Choices not mattering, (there is literally one ending and a few switches if characters lived or died)
Characters being bland and not changing at all
The water graphics were bad lol
Weak monsters and villains, we saw coming a mile away
Lots of tropes and copied elements of until dawn
Tried to fit in too many plots. (hacket family, camp history, monster history, freakshow history)
Characters that you cant save.
Characters not reacting correctly to events ex. hand being cut off, "yo what happened to your hand?" "oh nuffin."
One specific relationship that is thrown to the side and forgotten about.
CHARACTERS LITERALLY NOT IMPORTANT TO THE STORY AND DOING NOTHING, CHARACTERS THAT JUST SIT AROUND.

Overall I'd say, get the game on sale, like a biiiiig sale. No way is it worth 60 bucks.

seriously an amazing game. story is super worth it, if you have the money of course.
