Half Life 2 is a legendary game, and although it doesn't bring anything new to the franchise, it's a good continuation in the HL universe. The story is great, it introduces new memorable characters, the gameplay is top notch and the levels are quite challenging, it encourages the players to think before they engage in combat with the enemies. I definitely recommend it.

Homefront was dissapointing, the campaign was boring and too short. A major issue this game have is the aim, in many cases you'll headshot an enemy multiple times before it is actually dead. The campaign have some tense moments that don't really make sense, they try to shock the player with emotional scenes but they don't really succeed. I don't recommend this game.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season starts fresh, you'll return playing solely as Clementine, as she tries to provide shelter and food for AJ and herself. After I finished the first episode, I can already that this is better than how A New Frontier started, the dialogue is well written , the graphics are Telltale's best to this day and the suspense keeps the player anxious and eager for the next episodes.

Portal 2 is a great puzzle adventure game with original gameplay mechanics, engaging story and amazing level progression. The few characters in the game are well portrayed by great voice acting from the likes of J.K. Simmons and Nolan North. The game is challenging, graphics are lush and beautiful. The co-op multiplayer is so fun you'll never get bored of this game. I Definitely recommend it.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare is a story driven game with a fun combat system, it serves as a good spin-off in the Alan Wake twisted universe. Although this is not canon to the Alan Wake game the story is interesting and engaging, it switches from a psychological horror theme to a 80's action movie filled with guns and scary creatures. Like in the first game you'll see a lot of collectibles, but this time the game encourages the player to collect them, especially the manuscript pages, since you can unlock special weapons with them. American Nightmare it's not really that scary, but can be a fun experience.

Max Payne 3 is a great game with high intence actian sequences with a big take on cinematic scenes and bullet time gun effects. The cutscenes are a combination of noir and drama to represent a little bitterness and self-misery, they are beutifully constructed to let the player know how conflicted Max Payne is. Graphically the game looks brilliant, Rockstar's new RAGE engine is really pushed to its maximum, the lighting effects and the terrain are impecable. Max Payne 3 is totally different from its predecessors, but that doesn't mean its a bad game, it has a new developer and a new writer. It feels like Max Payne 3 isn't really a Max Payne title anymore, the dark shadowy street of New York are now replaced with the loud and noisy nightclubs of Sao Paolo, where Max works as a private security guard for the Branco family. Max still has an 'interior fight' , he bury his thoughts in booze, trying to forget about his wife's and child's death, which is kinda weird, seeing how Max Payne 2 ended. But the story is still interesting and if you got invested in it you can get used to the long cutscenes and find enjoyment in the overall plot. The gameplay is simple, there are a couple of guns you can choose from depending on your playstyle, dual-weapons if you like to go guns blazing a lot or a more accurate weapon like a rifle and go for headshots, saving a lot of Max's health and ammo. Another thing that make the shooting sequences more fun is the destructible environments, especially in bullet time where you every glass pieces and shredded paper fly in the air. It may take you a while to master this mechanics, but once you've done the gameplay, the bullet-time will become breathtaking. I think Max Payne 3 is amazing and I highly recommend it.

Half Life: Blue Shift is the second expansion for the first Half Life game. You play as Barney Calhoun, the guy who owes Freeman a beer :), the gameplay is similar to the previos expansion pack, it's a good game but it's too short, you can finish it in about 3 hours. And for the fact that this is included in the Half-Life and Valve bundles, it's worth it and I recommend it.

F.E.A.R. 3 is the latest installment of the F.E.A.R. franchise, it serves as a sequel to F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, here Pointman returns as the protagonist. The gameplay is still pretty much the same as the previous one, the story is filled with mysteries and high action paranormal shooting sequences. The game is pretty terrifying, but not like the first F.E.A.R., with high tense moments and a creepy soundtrack, but with more jumpscares and gore. The protagonist of the game is Pointman, but you can play as Paxton Fettel as well, you can possess different enemies like thugs or zombies, in some missions some bugs can occur though, a certain cutscene won't trigger so you'll have to restart the checkpoint. The story is pretty mediocre, your goal is to survive the many enemies that are getting stronger with each level and to make your way to Alma. As a horror game it's pretty satisfying but it's the worst in the F.E.A.R. franchise and that doesn't mean it's a bad game, the levels are well designed and fun to play and it has a good coop mode. I recommend it when on a good sale.

Hitman GO is a board game style game with well crafted turn based puzzles and good mechanics. The puzzles are getting more difficult with each stage, almost every level comes with additional tasks like completing it in less then x moves or killing/sparing all targets. It's a short and sweet game for puzzle lovers.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is the sequel to one of the best horror fps ever released. It has the same gameplay style of the first one, the story is decent and the atmosphere is unique. It serves as a good continuation in the F.E.A.R. series but it lacks something that made the first one so great. The levels are well designed with no repetitive things in them, the soundtrack prepare the player for some good horror experience. Overall it's a good game that doesn't dissapoint.
