Honest Review:
TL:DR: If you like WW1 aviation, and own a VR yes it is awesome, but it has flaws.

The most important question, is it 100$ worth of fun?

Depends if you have a VR, and how interested you are in history.
If you don't have a VR, just go get a Rise of Flight package for 20$, or just fly the planes they have on there for free, you will have just as much fun, and be able to fly before 1917.

If you have a VR, and very interested in aviation history and the first world war, you WILL get 100$ worth of fun out of this DLC, the flying feels amazing, and sitting inside of wood and canvas kite with an engine bolted to the front has never felt so real! The shooting feels great, it is truly a 10/10 immersive experience you wont find anywhere else.

My pros:
-The planes function just as you would expect them to on a 1:1 model to the real world.

-Viewing the carnage of the first world war, shells constantly exploding 100M in the air, watching your wingman burn up in flames as he takes his final decent, putting an enemy pilot right in front of you guns and cutting him down to watch his plane plummet down. It opens your eye to the fact, there is no glory in war, only death and destruction.

-Enemy AI seems alright, they pull maneuvers they try and set you up in 1v2's, if you fly dumb you get shot down.

Cons: Now this is a larger list, but I emphasize the sheer enjoyment i had while playing it, these are some things that need improvement.

Friendly AI are kind of Numb skulls. I was fighting 2 Sopmith triplanes and the rest of my 5 man flight, was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ off 3KM away watching me fight for my life. I also resorted to turning off collision damage as they will 100% crash into you. You can be as cognizant as you want, I swear they are like heat seeking missiles and i wound up losing 2 Iron man saves due to it.

This is being written a few days after career was added to FC. But there really needs to be more depth, like in the ww2 battles, the battle sways from month to month, but in this its just 1917 to 1918. It would be awesome to be flying over Verdun while a wave of infantry charge, as your tasked in dropping darts, or over Ypres while tanks role past, you get my point.

In all, I have fun, and i continue to have fun and it is by far my most enjoyed Great battles DLC added.

pre ordered this game in 2016, ive been through this games entire life cycle, it went from a 2/10 to a 5/10 and now i can confidently say this game is 8.5/10 for the price your stupid to not give it a go.

(Be aware, the tutorial phase is quite long, took me about an hour, but your progressing with it, if you want to enjoy this game, be patient, and most of all just go ♥♥♥♥♥ explore,

Outdoorsmen, city boys, country boys, yound, old, boys, girls, everyone can enjoy this game, it is truly a breathtaking experience, if your not hunting down a big trophy after hours if not days of work, you are taking screen shots of the outlandish scenery, don't believe me? look at my screen shots. Keep in mind that is on low graphics because my PC is a potato. If this game isn't in your library your doing it wrong.

Can make u sad but in the end that sweeeet savoooory chicken dinner is sooooo worth it
