Good moment to moment gameplay, low stakes matches and dripping with atmosphere

Playing on the second hardest difficulty and somehow this game still put me to sleep

A sweet little game that I think nailed what it set out to do.

Been about 7 more hours, but I gotta say, this game is all style and no substance. By style, I mean the flashing colors and the spectacle of seeing numbers and your weapons flying around, the game is not particularly visually appealing. The gameplay becomes very samey after you find the grimoire. You know what goes with what and how effective it is, and then every level and character play the same from then on.

For the low price I recommend trying it out, but I don't think that the game has any long term appeal.

It's pretty good, I would say it's best when you're doing something else and can let the little guy grind out some loops.

Still on the fence about it. Played three hours and there isn't any kind of progression besides making a bigger town with more resources you have to plot.
