Ah the binding of isaac, this game has come a long way from newgrounds and I can't express enough how much I love this game. Here is a basic short overview of what this game gives you if you buy.

Story: TL;DR your mom has to kill you you are scared by that and you try to escape only to find a trap door instead, In this trap door is where the game starts, simple and easy to understand.

Gameplay: This game resembles the legend of zelda by a mile so if you like the dungeons of zelda then this game will feel like home. Each time you play you get a different seed (level layouts) so this makes the game feel new all the time.

Fun Factor: This game at least for me reaches really high levels of fun since I enjoy the legend of zelda alot so once again if you dont like zelda or anything like it you might want to pass on this game, but that being said getting crazy item combos is always a blast.

Not So Fun Factor: Some runs take a really long time to finish once you unlock more chapters, also in the challenges if you pick up an item you have not seen it wont count toward certain achievements. I understand for alot of the challenges but the challenge purist should be able to count, these are just nitpicks but I can't say theres nothing wrong :p

Difficulty: This game starts off normal but gets harder as you go on unlocking more areas to go to each run. The real hard ships come from the characters more so since there are easy and hard characters to choose, like isaac is an easy character and blue baby is a harder character etc. Also theres a normal mode and a hard mode which makes it so anybody can play as they choose, I always play hard mode since it only chooses more difficult rooms and make less heart drops. But for tips and tricks I cant really say much since its a pretty clean game so just keep playing and you will get the hang of it. try to not get hit no matter what but once you start to get better try different harder characters to master isaac.

End Game Content: Well as of writing this review afterbirth+ has 2 days to come out so thats 1 thing but before that dlc there was afterbirth whitch came out a year ago. There are lots of achievements to get lots of items to unlock and once afterbirth+ comes out, there will be a infinite amount of content to make and download form others since that comes with a room editor and other mod tools. I highly recommend getting 2 dlcs and the soundtrack too its really good and the dlcs are amazing you will get plenty of hours from this game even without the dlcs but more with them!

Wrap up: So all in all this game is a wonderful rouge like zelda game whitch inspired lots of other games to give this genre a try, so I fully recommend this game to anyone who enjoys that sort of thing I know I do!
