Really good game, however, before buying, wait for a bug update. Currently I cannot continue to develop my cult because every quest I do wants to involve a dead follower. What this means is accepting the quest results in -45 faith, and denying the quest results in -35 faith. So I can't continue to increase the loyalty of my followers with ease since I can't accept a single mission without losing all of my faith and getting dissenters. No idea if anyone else has gotten this glitch, maybe I'm just unlucky, but yeah, don't play until they patch this REALLY bad glitch out of the game.

Took me 8 hours to complete all of the content currently. One island you still cannot access yet and you can't complete the main quest. But it was a fun 8 hours regardless since, although it may look poorly developed, it really wasn't. There was a lot of really good writing in the game, the game play felt smooth, the map mechanic was interesting but I quickly got used to it. 1 very important thing to note is that the compass currently does not work, use the directions shown in hollow town instead. I thoroughly look forward to further updates

Amazing game. The game play is smooth, the graphics are fantastic (a little too fantastic for my PC) and it has such in depth descriptions of various events in Japanese culture. Both spiritual and in general (Like things that were outlawed by the Shogun) I definitely Recommend anyone who likes Japanese culture or likes games with fun game play and interesting enemies.

Large combination of mechanics from many roguelike, dungeon crawler games. But it is clear the developers really care about their game, and each weapon is extremely unique, some even come from the comments on tiktok and YouTube. The mechanic for jumping is also really intuitive and interesting, but once you get the hang of it it does feel like the game becomes easier when you dedicate a whole build to jumping on enemies and releasing a mass of rats, bats, spirits and bones onto everything around you after just a 5 combo.

*WARNING* Contains mild spoilers for some things. Nothing about story, just some of the areas.

Summing up 2 hours of gameplay. Started by getting confused with controls 'cuz i'm dumb and didn't realise it told me how it works. Got jumpscared by a pile of books that were actually a mimic. Ate my only weapon to heal. The meat then is very happy with me for 3 floors since I'm not killing a single thing. I then die to some weird monstrosity appearing out of nowhere. Get to the fields. Get told nothing can eat me here and I'm completely safe. Get attacked in the fields. Find a memento that makes it so when I hit myself everything else get's hit. Get 153 gold by hitting myself and killing everything. The whispers are apparently fine with this. I die again since I hit myself in the head repeatedly. 10/10, will eat the meat to heal again even if I get set on fire.

Amazing game. I honestly think they should have charged 1 or 2 dollars for the game. I got an hour of gameplay just from achievement hunting, which I implore anyone who plays this to do. It has a brilliant message to it and is overall fun to play. The only downside is that the mouse sensitivity is a little low, but I think that can easily be overlooked considering how fantastic the game is. (Especially the analogies to illness in the game's text.

This game is only RNG based. I have had 4 runs in a row ruined because I only received low powered cards. There is literally nothing I can do to seeing 4 3/2 cards being played in the second or third area since all of my cards are overpriced in blood or too weak to do any sort of constructive damage. And so I die again and again and again and again, with making basically no progress. I almost always die in the third area, with nothing to show for it but more deathcards which get crappy stats.

Don't get me wrong, i do occasionally get some INSANE cards and death cards. But I see them once or twice and that's that. I never receive them again. Or even WORSE. they get one tapped by some bs that comes out of nowhere that I can do nothing about like 4 deer all with the guard status effect in a special totem fight.

In Slay the Spire, the issue was you were either really really dumb and died to taking risks or something like that, or from having too many cards. In the game, there is no strategy when all your cards are underpowered, there a no risks to be had unless its the campfires which, btw, you can tell when you'll lose a card based on whether or not a survivor speaks. I know this because I literally can't see the ending of this game.

If you want to play a game completely based on RNG which you can't recover with strategy, buy this game. Seriously, at least in slay the spire, the right cards played at the right time makes the difference, and in something like Binding Of Isaac, if you are skilled enough you can live with half a heart for 4 floors regardless of items. This game you can't, which is why it is simply a bad experience.

The game itself is absolutely wonderful despite it's simple gameplay. Im glad it costs money to get now and isnt just free to play. However, if you play this game, for some reason you will have sexual content recommended to you. Like steam will literally say "Since you played press any button..." followed by smut. Plz help me.

Overall a 6/10 game. But in the dungeon crawler category (which is where i'd put it with slay the spire & B.Of.I mechanics) its about an 8/10. There are some bugs floating around that impeded my gameplay for a bit. Some were fixed. Some weren't. But I still, overall, have great fun with this game. I played all the last stand games previously so i'm interested on where the story is going.

PS. If a dev looks at this, the bugs that are not fixed are a glitch with staircases that momentarily prevents movement until you hop off and back on the stairs, and a glitch I encountered in the military base of the second area where a charger got stuck in an area where you could only crouch through. (This resulted in me wassting most of my resources trying to kill him since he was guarding a key item in the area.)
