Yes the game is hard. Yes the game is throwing the book, kitchen sink, and fridge at you trying to put you down. However, that's the charm of this game. You're meant to overcome the hardships and if you fail, you try again. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to really test themselves as a strategist. Being able to plan your way to building up your people and turning them into walking death machines to get that sweet revenge on the dreaded beak things. I also recommend it as a game to just sink hours, if not days into it for its building system. Now is the system perfect, no, but it has so much capability with the array of building mods.

Speaking of the mods, the community has done an amazing job with some how making the game even more of a challenge to play (or far easier to play). Couple this with the mods that add different weapons, armors, cities, and more dangerous foes that want to tear you apart.

I easily and happily put this game in my favorites, and whenever I gain the major itch to just relax and play a slow but rewarding game that makes you want to come back time and again to try building a army of crazy skeletons (robots) one more time to overthrow the world, this is the game.
