10 hours of repairing vehicles.
10 hours of reviving people.
100 hours of fun using the points you just earned to buy whatever you want in the ingame store.

Game is legitimately good with a decent learning curve. Free-to-play model is outstanding and you are never forced to buy something. Takes a bit of grinding, but you can easily stand alongside people that bought a ton of stuff with cash and outperform them.

Only real con I can think of is that the games population has been slipping. Still a decent sized population actively playing during the day, but at night it's fairly dead.

This game is old, but obnoxiously good/addicting. There's literally nothing I can say here that other reviews haven't already said.

It's 11/10 worth it.

Alright, you guys win. After harassing me nonstop for 6 years unironically for leaving a bad review like a month after this game came out and it getting a ton of 'reactions', leading to you nerds blowing me up with friend requests nonstop begging me to take the review down.

I finally, after 6 years have tried No Man's Sky again. The game is better, IS THAT WHAT YOU WANTED TO HEAR?!

Nah, but really. The game launched in an awful state, there's no way around that. You know it, I know it, the entire steam community knows it. But, it factually got better. Not only did it get better, it's now an actual game! With actual content! Gone are the stations with 1 resident alien. Gone are the ships that were all exactly the same outside of cosmetics and cargo capacity. Gone is the ridiculous search to make a warp cell to jump closer to the galactic center, just to do it again. And again. And again.

There are actual things to do now, you can take over settlements, form little squad fleet things with NPCs. Have a freighter. Build a base. Hire aliens to live in your base. Craft more than like 12 things. Like, yeah. I probably sound sarcastic af, but there's an actual game here now. If you guys shipped this six years ago, as opposed to what you dropped, NMS would unironically be one of the biggest games on Steam period. But, whining about what could have been helps no one.

So, as someone with (at least at the time) that had 'the most liked' negative review of this game. That was featured in articles that did literally nothing but lead to more people annoying me about the review. The game is good now. It went from a weak 2/10 to somewhere between an 8.5-9/10.

I can factually recommend this game in it's current state, regardless of what everyone is whining and crying about with the 4.0 update.

Good job, Hello Games. You should legitimately pat yourselves on the back for having the guts to stick with this game from the state it was in, to the state it's in now. Be proud of what you made, and keep up the good work.

Don't spend more than $5, population is (mostly) dead.

ETA: Yeah, I've spent a ton of time on this game, despite my negative review. But with how badly the game's population has slipped due to the devs entirely abandoning the game and coming up with every excuse under the sun to do so. There hasn't been much content added since my first negative review, outside of cosmetic armor sets. Which I mean, sounds pretty nice right? I thought so too, until I checked the ingame store (Yes, they added an ingame store instead of literally anything on their roadmap) and saw that an armor set literally cost more than the game itself. Wanna spend 50 bucks for a terrible skin in a clunky game?

Yeah, me neither.

Save your money, friendos.
