Take these community resources as good measure:
The 4GB RAM Expansion Patch tool used to make the game's High Texture Detail setting playable without crashes: {LINK REMOVED}https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371 . Right-click and extract it from its .ZIP file, open it, and modify the executable located in **Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/NEOTOKYO/hl2.exe** while the game is not running. After relaunching, change your resolution, Apply, and change it back to ensure stability. If it crashes on startup after applying the patch tool, use the -w and -h launch options to specify a resolution and get back in to do the same.
