Over-all, absolutely a great successor to the original.
The "feel" of the game remains very similar, even with the change in graphic style and shift to a 3d environment.

The current cast of survivors has enough variety to keep the game fresh for some time, and even then with each run often going differently the game never fails to entertain.

Multiplayer isn't perfect at times, but that may just be my internet connection. Very fun with others though!

A well-paced take of a management/RTS game.

I don't remember exactly when I first played Hades to be completely honest. Over a year ago I had gotten back into it on my phone and have been having a great time since, and I'm very happy to see the steam launch go though after 20 hours in the steam beta.

Pros:
- Progression over-all is fairly balanced.
- Suitable for many players, whether you like to take games strategic and seriously, or with a more casual approach.
- Long-term progression means that you'll be able to keep developing your star for the months/years to come.
- Truly free-to-play. Microtransactions are never pushed on the player, and premium currency is COMPLETELY optional at all points in the game.

Cons:
- Nothing's perfect on launch, so there may be a few tiny bugs here and there.


Easily one of my favorite games as of late, I highly recommend you give it a try.

Absolutely one of my favorite games!

The lauch was rocky to say the least, but the developers have poured their love and soul into this game since then.
With the NEXT update, it is going to be fantastic to say the least. I look forward to the improved base-building especially.

Great to play casually for a little every other day, but I can also enjoy immersing myself in it for hours on end. Very relaxing to play for me.

While it does have a steep learning curve, the tutorials provided help in that aspect. I find it a very enjoyable game overall, providing a nice open-world with many activities available.

I have to say, it took my a few plays to get the hang of it, but it is well worth every penny and then some.
Great for people who like shmups and roguelike games. Has a perfect fun/challenge ratio.

Rain so hard even the thirstiest Pearl could be quenched by it. 10/10

11/10 would starve again.

A great game for those who love good ol' sword and shield style fighting in a 2D sidescrolling environment.
