This is not a continuation of MH World. Rise is much more like the portable Monster Hunter and this was the intended effect. Fun, shorter hunts, some mechanics that are not in the spirit of the series, but it does seem a lot more welcoming to new players and I loved the cultural setting. Sunbreak, however, is a masterpiece. The companion system is great. Tons of new moves for each weapon, build variety is great. Ton of additional content that was released in the form of title updates post-release. Rise itself is good, and alongside all the additional features and great fights in Sunbreak it is VERY GOOD.
