Absolutely beautiful, both in presentation and narrative. Had me emotional more than once.

This is an extremely poor imitation of what is supposed to be a Souls game.

CAMPAIGN:
- Lots of content.
- Offers New Game+.
- There's a plot twist.
- You get to play as numerous characters.
- For a 3DS port the graphics are pretty good.
- Creature designs are pretty cool and creative.
- There is a character duo that are quite amusing to watch.
- The game with the DLCs are reasonably priced on sale.
RAID MODE:
- Raid Mode is quite fun and replayable, and probably more fun with friends.
- You get to unlock and choose from numerous characters with their own bonus effects.
- There are weapon mods that make for some very entertaining and satisfying gun play.
CAMPAIGN:
- Movement is janky when strafing diagonally.
- The game with the DLCs are greedily priced.
- There is a scripted sequence that takes way too long.
- There are some cosmetic DLCs locked behind a pay wall.
- The story has a few twists and it can be a little confusing to follow give the pace of the events.
- For a PC game the graphics are questionable given the game was made after RE5. (3DS port I guess)
RAID MODE:
- There is a weapon mod that fires your gun when your crosshair hovers over an enemy...
...this is somewhat broken as it will very often misfire and accuracy affects your score.

Wow, what an adventure that was!

If you feel like you need a break from the usual, fast-paced action that modern battle royale and first-person shooter games offer then you shouldn't easily overlook this one. Yes, it is a game that was originally made more than a decade ago, but they have polished it, and it is looking a whole lot better than it did in 1996. This game will have you sit back and think a little before you are allowed to progress for only when you solve its riddles will you finish it.

Sure, anyone can go and sponge on a walkthrough to complete it, but figuring it out on your own: paying attention to your items, mapping out its cracks and crevices in your mind and deciding on fight or flight for yourself is way more rewarding. For me it was just as much fun to figure out as Portal 1/2.

This was literally a blast from the past. It reminded me a lot of Resident Evil: Outbreak on the PS2. Getting more insight about the lore of this questionably successful franchise and realising how the story branched out to form the foundations for the later titles was quite entertaining.

Fanboy aside, if you look past the bad mouth animations and lip syncs, buy this game, go make some tea or coffee and bring a PC compatible controller.
