Telltale games typically have low replayability, but I would play through a third time (I also own it on PS4) just to enjoy it again. I love all of the dorky characters, It's definitely one of telltale's most charming productions.

The soundtracks are amazing. The playable vault hunters are pretty interesting. Rhys and Vaughn from Tales are in it! The DLCs have been nice, and you get to traverse the stars to actually see some of the neat planets that were only mentioned in passing in previous installments, adding a wider than ever range of environments to explore. However, I really wish we had the option to rate something as just 'okay' and not definitively 'good' or 'bad'. Because Borderlands 3 is a good game with greatly improved combat and movement mechanics and countless hours of enjoyment, which is why I recommend it, but it's a not-so-good Borderlands due to it's abysmal story line. Unless you're a huge fan of Lilith, there's a chance you'll be sort of frustrated with the story too.

I say this because Borderlands 3 effectively removes the player as the main character of the story. That slot is taken up by Lilith, who is now the center of the Borderlands universe. The player is in none of the cut scenes, and Lilith is just suddenly the star of the show for no apparent reason aside from her being a siren which to me is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 'Mary Sue' reasoning. Additionally, it seems the vaults take a back seat, much like the player in terms of relevance. And some people can't stand the main antagonists, the Twins and the Cult, but I don't believe that was really an issue and it personally didn't bother me. They're easy to hate and that's the point. No villain will ever be as interesting as Handsome Jack was, and fans need to realize that.

From what I've experienced, it really seems like Lilith having her powers taken, then getting them back to do something heroic was... the point of the entire story in 3. The vaults don't matter. Which is evident by how soulless and uninteresting they are, since they're all identical copy-paste versions of each other with no differences or fun areas to traverse inside of them. There aren't even cool guns, just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ blue and green rarity weapons and there are no enemies. When you think about how damn cool the vault was on Elpis in Borderlands the Pre-Sequel, you can see how badly the Borderlands 3 vaults fall short. Aren't the vaults supposed to be unique and awe-inspiring?

Don't get me wrong though, like I said, Borderlands 3 is a good game. The Handsome Jackpot DLC gave me back one of my favorite characters, Timothy Lawrence, or the Doppleganger Jack from Pre-Sequel, so I'm a bit biased, but all of the DLC has been pretty good. So overall it was a very fun experience (especially with friends) but I sincerely hope that Gearbox improves their story telling with the next entry in Borderlands.

tl;dr - Gameplay is fantastic, story is bad, plenty of content for hours of enjoyment. Recommended overall.

Honestly, the Resident Evil content is what has kept me playing. That, and I've been playing since 2019, so I'm stuck in this loop (haha) of liking and disliking the game. You will similarly either enjoy, or ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate this game. If I had to describe it, I'd say it's like a kid who made you macaroni art, then immediately turned around and smeared ♥♥♥♥ on your nice walls. You'll be perpetually stuck between endearment and rage.
