Totally worth it, looking forward to see how it evolves given the awesome FPS original DRG! Can't go wrong grabbing this one!

Fun game with a decent DLC pack, really scratches the mindless zombie killin' itch. Get the aftermath pack and u can choose between first person or 3rd plus double the missions. It's a bit grindy but u can get a fully upgraded save file no prob if it gets too boring or frustrating. No PvP scene really, not that I personally miss it at all! Good replay to try out builds and a ton of classes that are very diverse and can come up with some sweet combo strats if u have a good team. Oh, and the RNG with gear can really change how u play a level, 2nd only to what team comp you roll with and ur class+build.
My only real beef is that you can't talk to anyone on crossplay from any console or Xbox live, just a ping function and emotes.... Good luck finding full teams without crossplay, but it's nice when u get other PC players u can talk to, plan and whatnot. At least u can turn console crossplay off, this is no game to play on a controller at the extreme difficulty.

I rarely buy a game before it's been out at least coupla months to patch out the bugs n stuff, but the last one, HZD, was good enough I bought early with the squeal since it didn't seem to have any major issues at launch and the patches keep coming; it was totally worth it. No significant bugs on my ends, tho I have a high end rig that this game turns into a 850 watt heater between six 5" fans and a 2 on the water cooling processor heat sink. Oh, also, it's not "woke" cause a few creeps think Alloy isn't hot enough. Great graphics, specially with the Nvidia game ready drivers for this game in particular, and all with compelling main story too. 81 hrs and I'm only like 2/3 of the way thru..... so thinking of the standard $1 per hour of game play, more then worth it if ur machine can hack it :D Oh, and with the new game+ and the multitude of strats and gear to spec into, I certainly plan on a replay!

I will say some of the side quests are kind of filler/fluff sometimes, but sometimes they're really fun! Oh, and if u don't want puzzle hints take off ur cans cause Alloy gives lots of hints if u take even a moderate amount of time trying to figure something out. ....and maybe some of the old world ruins are just super frustrating and/or boring/and or not worth what you get for the time. I just started reading walk through's by the last few.

Just too aged for to be worth playing. There are a bunch of ppl who have been playing for years, so there's only newbs and die hard forever players. It just makes the game boring. And that's not even mentioning that the gamplay loop isn't interesting enough to hold interest long term. Sad, cause I love co-op games. Back to deep rock galatic.

Gets boring and frustrating real quick, runs feel exactly the same except for minor changes in gear and small stat differences. I feel that it MIGHT be worth it at %50 off, but even then know that what ur getting isn't an easily enjoyable gaming experience. Really punishing RNG too. NOT FOR CASUAL GAMERS!

EDIT: uninstalled after cleaning the first area before the boss to get enough decent gear etc multiple times to repeatedly die to lame mechanics of the final boss when he's low health. It's just boring. A challenging game is fun and engaging, this is far from either especially over more then a couple runs. Plus getting stuck on random terrain features or different elevations is emblamatic of the problem with this game. It's hard, but not really by purposful design but more by QOL issues and bad design.

Total garbage, crashes more then any game I've ever seen that wasn't ea and cost this much, and yes I tired all the common fixes. Avoid this game till they fix the major issues and add the required missing content like crafting. Probably be a year for that!

Edit: retried as of 5/28/23 and still crashing like a drunk doing 100mph after pounding a fifth of vodka. (Obviously not played on this account lol, not buying this AGAIN to verify it's still junk)

I really like this game, although it's not the best of the best co-op shooters. However, it has allot of replayability and decent variety as well as getting new content. Paid of course, but at least reasonable in my mind. The setting and atmosphere are great, and the game plays pretty smooth as well.
Don't let ppl tell you its a dead game, it's not especially if you're willing to use crossplay, discord or any of the steam groups to find teammates. Even with no extra effort I rarely have trouble finding games, although I am a US west coast time zone/area player.
You get at least what you pay for in the game even at full price its more then worth it. If you can snag it on sale its a total no brainer.
EDIT: this game is pretty bug ridden, connection issues and not uncommon game breaking bugs, so I had to chance my review to negative. It;s a good game, just major reliability issues. Be prepared for that.

Yes its a fun game, but only at least 50% on sale. it's just too short otherwise.

Too repeatative and tedious, you'll experience the vast majority of the content in the 20 to no more then 30 hour range, and thats being generous. If you don't mind RNG totally defining your run, and doing the same things over and over again trying to get that 1% since ur last run then this game might be for you. Otherwise, don't bother unless the sale is super deep.
If there was a "meh" rating id give that instead of negative, but thems the breaks!

So, this was supposed to be CoD and Battlefields older and more realistic brother. One problem with that seemingly winning formula, the majority of the community. I read about this game before I bought it, and I went in knowing I'd need to read quides, watch vids, be humble and learn from more exp'ed players. And what did I end up with? Battlefield V level of strategic thinking: "Quick, charge across that super long and empty field and then die to a something you never even realized was there" That's the worst part of this game to me. Spawn, move 3 feet, die. Wanna know why? Tough, the game doesn't care. Same thing happen multiple times in a row? Tough cookies. Hope you're having fun giving the sweaty neckbeard his daily fix of smashing on new players.
Basically, this is a game where you are forced to go to discord (the venereal disease of gaming) or elsewhere to find a half way competent group. Not for people looking to learn a new game, and for whatever reason the community doesn't allow the game to be what it was supposed to be as described by the dev's (and of course the ridiculous utube streamers). If you don't have a group like that, don't bother with this game unless you really enjoy frustration and opaque gameplay and mechanics. Refund requested.
PS: I've played 15-20 hours on my friends account, so don't give me "u didn't play enough to know, just git gud" I was willing to do that, but the way the community and game are, it's not reasonable to do so for anyone with a life or a job.
