This is a visual novel with gameplay mechanics. An RPG combat system, mini games, quests. I generally hate visual novels and found this one to be fantastic, probably because it's not full on, but don't bother if you don't like to read and go through story bits A lot. It's fully voice acted, if that helps, and the voice actors are excellent for the most part. I'm not actually sure why the visual novel tag hasn't been applied to this game yet, it is on other storefronts.

Game's good.

Super fun with a modding community that makes the already great vanilla game even better.

Spend hours playing the game farming units. Find an item that was so random I don't even remember how I got it. 250,000,000 units. I haven't even made a portion of that in the 30+ hours I spent playing this game in the past few days. Why is the balancing so atrocious?

It's not just that, to be honest. All of the high paying ways to make units in this game are overshadowed by much more lucrative and easier means. Why bother exploring for relics and expensive treasures when you can just spend 1/4th the time digging up a few salvaged data pieces for much more profit? It is incredibly demotivating and pretty much irrelevates the other, interesting ways you can choose to play this game.

If they do sort that out some day in the future, just know this game is incredible otherwise. I can't say that enough. This company has long since redeemed itself since this game's launch day. So much so that I would happily BUY DLC for it if it was balanced. And that's saying something considering I was utterly disgusted with this game's release and for the most part am put off by DLC.

Game was somehow better in a version pre-dating 1.0 despite the immense amount of bugs it had around the time. Released as 1.0 not because it was a polished and ready to release game, but because they wanted to excuse shoveling out a bunch of DLC. And then battle pass.

Also still haven't given people the option to remove tethering.

Can't password games. Just want to play the game. Instead I got to sit back and watch a bunch of cancerous high levels afk kill things with floating, auto aim turrets. Sometimes got to play a little ways through a scenario or map, but they always show up.

Game is still hot garbage. Finally just going to write this one off for good and move on.

When are you going to start expunging shovelware, Steam?
