Tight cool game!

Bring back great memories. Otherwise, may be a bit difficult to get into I suppose. Still a good TRPG!

Feels a lot like Mutant Year Zero, which is a good thing if you enjoyed the previous title.

Excellent game deceptively easy to get into. There are a lot of subtle mechanics to pay attention to if you want to be successful on highest difficulty. The game is gorgeous, the story telling during a map is engaging and I have had no technical issues (I am using the official hotfix).

Old style JRPG minus the grind and annoying mini games.
Combat system is great.

Good little game that offers decently varied and challenging tactical combat scenarios.

I don't like city builders and I don't like roguelike/lite. Yet somehow I enjoy this game thoroughly.

Each map/game does not last that long (2 to 3 hrs maybe and I play on speed x1). What is thrilling is a copious amount of randomness in the buildings you can build, the passive boosts you draw and then what the random gen map throws at you, plus the objectives you set for yourself. All this combines into requiring you to adapt each game, there is no guarantee you'll be able to pull your favorite strategy.

I really like the way the story is delivered and I am spending as much time in camp, pondering excruciatingly each decision on how to spend the limited resources as I am in battles.

On hard difficulty, i often end up fights at half strength (like i have 5 troops left out of 10) and it's tough. All the while far from being impossible. You got a fair chance, but you cannot make wrong moves. On that topic, save are not allowed during battle but you can rewind up to 5 times instead. An elegant middle ground between iron man and save scumming.
