I recommend this game and I recommend ignoring the negatives reviews. My computer isn't high end, and I run this game with no problems, lag spikes, crashing, etc. If you're on the fence, do it.

This game has tons of potential. It's been rare to find games that are choosing to be bold and develop fun gameplay. Most games nowadays choose graphics over gameplay. This does well on both, but excels in gameplay.

I wanna recommend this game, for the gameplay itself is simple and fun. Here's why it is negative.
CHEATERS. There is no anti-cheat / anti-hacks in this game. There are no ways to private server as of now. And what's funny about this is, I'd enjoy the PVP but I can't when it's only cheaters on every server I've played on with my friends. When I say hacks, I mean their ship not being sank with over 7 chainshot on mast, 4 firebombs on their poopdeck, and 30 cannonballs into a SLOOP. Not only this, but somehow firing a cannon from their rear on a SLOOP and 1 shotting my entire crew and sinking the entire fleet we had. But I'm sure there'll be cheaters who wanna just say "skill issue, NOOB".

I LOVED the campaign. But multiplayer is not as good as it should've been at launch, and the franchise is dying.
If you want the campaign experience, I HIGHLY recommend it. But if you're here for multiplayer... it's dying. It's been dead for so long. It's sad.

We'll ignore the $40.00 USD price tag. We'll ignore the $130.00 USD DLC price tag.
But to add a cosmetic shop and BATTLEPASS system beyond this? What a joke.

I must rate this positively.

Game is overpriced. Pandering DLC's. Overpriced addons. The base game is DECENT. Mind you, I've played across platforms since beta. They sell DLC home's for storage in game for 80$... But on top of stealing your money for a good play experience- they also sell all of your data including your geolocation, billing info, email, name, and more. Read the privacy agreement and see if you still feel comfortable giving this lackluster company your money and information. Disgraceful.

Take Clash Royale and Hearthstone without PAY TO WIN and you get this masterpiece. Beautiful graphics, music, and card design. Seriously a game I feel I could binge for a long time, but also play casually when I have a spare moment.
