my perfect idle game. being able to set it to do something then check in on it in a few hours or even the next day. not a clicker i have to more actively play or pay attention to, a true idle game. its perfect

quite frankly one of the most incredible games to come out in recent years. the style, mechanics, story, all the polish and just how genuinely FUN it is, has been better than most triple A games that have come out in the last few years. and it accomplishes all that while only being half the price of those games!! this is what games SHOULD be. i am completely honest when i say, playing this game was the first time i felt like i was having such genuine, delighted fun in YEARS.

the music is just so good, every song is a banger. the fact every single environment piece in the background also moves to the music, while you jump, dodge, and fight to the beat, is so incredibly satisfying. and the fact it continues to introduce more mechanics and ways for you to overcome obstacles to the beat throughout the whole game, keeps things challenging and interesting the whole way though. truly a masterpiece of a game.

a very unique way to play through a sort of visual novel type story. and also way to experience that story, by entirely through your interactions through customers, and having to piece together the tale from the different perspectives. very interesting and very fun too. the puzzle like aspect of acquiring plants and figuring out What plant they are is very fun and rewarding. playing through twice didn't even make that stale because there's so many plants i couldn't remember the second time around what was what and had to re-figure it out. very good all-around

Fun mechanics for completing quests. I liked running around picking up ingredients as I traveled to do different quests, and solving problems in fun, magical, unique ways. The traditional gothic fable vibe is immaculate, they really nailed it.

Also what other game will let you kill a landlord. Peak gameplay.

10/10 Would be gay and hug my farm animals again. It's like a beautiful mix of Harvest Moon, Minecraft, etc. It takes farming to a whole 'nother level with all of the things you can do and because there's so much the fun never stops. It's just so good ;;

Don't get me wrong, i love magic and this is a great game, but it is highly infuriating towards the end. I am a highly experienced player, but when i got to the last "map" of the campaign, even i had to turn the difficulty down just to win, and even then it took hours for just the non-final boss mission. Then when you get to the final boss, pretty much no matter what you do the game screws you over. I'll be doing alright, but then when i get the boss below 10 health, if i have enough land (and by this point your hand is empty) it's just land land land until i die, vice versa for no lands, they need a better "shuffle" matrix because the current one is complete bullcrap + the shop doesn't work
