Petty much fun in sandbox, but had to do story first to unlock many thing before fully freedom, otherwise very limited due many item are locked, but I do not just thumb up because of good game but I noticed that game developer had a passion to create and fix game last 4 year at no coat other than one time buy game so far. So petty much I had no choice but thumb up. Yes I do recommend this game even no sales. I know my gameplay hours isn't much, as some other game because I was too busy play ton of many difference game and real life work so I play on and off here.

There is little bug here and there, unfortunately, but there is manual save game but seem limited to one, and other is auto save, so basic 2 save as back up and not much you can do with limited save game if you find out there is bug but too late and you can't go far before bug come up or too far and lost lot of gameplay. March, 2020 version

I was played this game back in maybe 1995, original verison, I was never able to beat game at time because this game is forced on heavy puzzle more than action. I do like basic of story, I do live basic of action, I do like haunted mansion, it's all petty cool, but I hate puzzle, but game is good even you hate puzzle, but there is petty walkthougth help you overcome puzzle.

HD remaster make whole might lot better than just graphic alone, so it's worth it.

I do wish they forced on more of story and less puzzle (face it, sometime puzzle don't make sence, why would builder and design make puzzle and it's gone for good if once time when building a house/mansion/building)

It's just not enough lore, but it's could make great storytelling with all history in past and how they create t-virus in top secret basement with ancient science lab with little bit of modern science lab with dark methods rather than stand modern fancy science lab, but not much going on but cool tiny background story linked to mansion with filled of zombie and science experiments creature for trying to reseaching gain stronger, faster, endurance, faster healing regen, along quest of immortality but end up as disasters even it's may little work in some way but in dark twisted.

I enjoyed this game, basic you fly your own ship while building empire and fleets. Good Fun, but some art work of ship look strange and alien for human ship.

While it's great they add empire in vortex, but it's cause unbalance in mortal empire, before dlc, normal level, you face sometime up to 3 doomstack, but now it's like 10 to 15 doomstack from allied order faction, and 5 doomstack every few turn on normal level that are no longer normal level.
vortex is fun and good, but mortal empire is no longer fun, due order faction is too powerful in mortal empire.

It's fun game, depend on setting and map, it's can be easy or hard, if you are quick filled out goal, how to get most of track with cost efficient, something you had to figure out with planning to filled task they gave you. Game is must for train lover, but normal people who didn't love train or not die hard train like me, I do enjoy game. (I'm more fan of aircraft) but I do like train, just not die hard fan. This game could be boring to people who like action, but not for thinking people, I think.

Gameplay and story is bored.

Fun game

Well, I just doing review again, because it's been many patch/upgrade, along 2 DLC, and even Custom gamestart 4.10 version.

Game is every enjoyment and fun for those who forced on combat and station builder, but might not every enjoyment for non combat trader personal, as X3 is better for personal traders, autotrader and fleet manager while X4 is better for auto miner/gas, station builder, small fighter had chance to beat bigger but bigger ship in x3 is better. Weapons is not same as X3.

Fleet manage is remain more of similar but had other type issues.

X3 is great for slow ship, thankful to jumpdrive, but X4 do not had jumpdrive, it's not good for slow ship to be in, because once you under fire of enemies, you are unable to flee it.

X4 flavor of speed, speed is petty much had as you can flee or control battle whatever you think or feel best, but X3 don't care about slow ship, due jumpdrive, you can jumpdrive to save ship and yourself from game over screen.

Game is Fun and worth to buy, but X3 and X4 game is not same, just similar but difference gameplay due economics, way ship's speed (x4)/jumpdrive(x3) importance change and auto trader is great in x3 but you can't had that (I'm not sure they removed it or nerfed by need high level star pilot to do that in x4 but auto miner replaced auto trader from x3 to x4, x3 had mining station endless, depend output to keep up, but x4 don't had any mining station endless . Raw resource could ran out and it's take some time to regen in sector in x4.

So x3 is little slow while x4 is more faster, but both are still same, it's take a while to make credit to build or buy ship, so go on, couple real day at least to start up for station, it's lot of credit and time to set up station and making profit that way.

It's had fewer bug since 4.10 than game come out. And more story Plot that gave you choice as well.
