The story only gets in the way of the gameplay.

This used to be good and have great potential, the Envirma stuff is taking too long and is suffering from big performance issues, good luck PVP'ing when all the dinos just teleport around.
I can not recommend this game in it's current state.
Give it three more years and maybe it will have caught up.

Update #3 - Progressing

This is a quick update to my review due to some recent changes to the game. The game now seems to perform better on my machine, and some of the server side performance issues have subsided. However the game is still missing some key feataures that drive you to play more. The new introduced species spices up the gameplay a bit, but there is still a lack of purpose and reason for survival. Perhaps with one or two more updates the game will feel closer to its previous and more developed version.

Update #6 - Playable

There is now a clear purpose in the gameplay, and there are some additional major features added, like a functional nighttime with nightvision, nesting and a diet system that drives you to move around the map and scavage for the right types of food. The game has some major balance issues and still lack a lot of content that was in the legacy version of the game. More dinosaurs are badly needed to fix some of the balancing issues and onesidedness of the PVP gameplay.

This remains the most realistic and immersive dinosaur survival/horror game out there! I applaud the devs for sticking with it; all be it a bit slow on the updates.

Great fun with friends, great tool to find new friends, great game to waste your time with and neglect all that once mattered in your life, become what you loathe and or become consumed by the digital world.

It's quite dope, try it!
