I suck at this game but that's not going to stop me from using this as a cozy nightlight!

I was apparently halfway through the game and I don't even know what the hell is going on in the story. Classic Digital Extremes storytelling!

Lmao get real. I wonder if this is what we should expect TES6 to be. An undercooked hodgepodge of sanitized ideas that has no real message or point for existing other than keeping the lights on in the Bethesda office. This is by far the laziest "Story DLC" I've ever seen, and only confirms to me that they expected the modding community to pick up the slack and make their garbage game better. ♥♥♥♥ off and get bent.

Hoping the combat is more fluid and there's options for non-lethal/stealth oriented gameplay in KCD 2. But even if it doesn't, I'd probably still enjoy it as much as this game

As of writing the game is not entirely finished. I was debating whether to recommend this or not, but ultimately decided that the current experience is fun enough to warrant the very modest price. Overall, it's a great experience, in my opinion, but does feel unfinished in a few areas.

The game reminds me of Pathologic, however survival in Obenseuer is not nearly as perilous or difficult as it is in Pathologic, nor does Obenseuer feel nearly as tedious and clunky as Pathologic does. I do hope to see more dynamic systems in the future, such as the spread of the mushroom plague; more consequences for using, abusing, and becoming addicted to substances; or more NPC actions.

As it stands, NPCs mostly stand idle. This makes sense for quest-givers and shops, but even the woman who greets you when you first enter Obenseuer proper just sits on a bench 24/7. The only NPC I've seen actively walking around in my 30 hours of playing was a policeman patrolling the alleyway behind the O-Mart, and even then it seems like he glitches out sometimes and doesn't move at all. This makes the town feel a lot less alive despite the story stating Obenseuer has an overpopulation problem.

I've also encountered some glitches with crafting. It's very easy to duplicate objects. I'm not entirely confident in how to replicate it, but for example, if you were purifying dirty water, having multiple types of bottles would cause one type of bottle to duplicate while still keeping the original bottle you used. It depends on what kind of recipe it is, it seems, but I've also noticed it when crafting food. Not really a major downside to the game, just something the developers should know.

Aside from some other minor nitpicks, it's a great game and has tons of potential. I can't wait for the next content update and all the weird and freaky things the world of Obenseuer has to offer!

P.S. if you haven't played INFRA (Also by the devs of Obenseuer) play that ♥♥♥♥ right now, it's amazing. Hype for Whiprock!

A fun detective game where everything is entirely simulated. This can cause some errors with certain object placement, vents, and items in certain areas, but I've never experienced anything impeding progress. The variety of missions leaves something to be desired, but the procedural nature of the odd jobs and murder cases makes every case unique and with varying levels of difficulty to solve. I also wish there was more in the way of interrogating suspects. As it stands you are more of a freelance private investigator with no police jurisdiction, so all you can really do is ask people simple questions about their name, anything suspicious, if they know the person you're investigating, or their fingerprints and hope that they don't tell you to touch grass.

Other than that, It's a fantastic game and I can't wait to see where the devs take it from here!

A game where everyone knows everything about anything and you know nothing. How a game from 2002 perfectly encapsulates real life is astonishing.
